Shawshank Redemption : (This was one of the most intense, darkest films I have ever watched. It was, however, also the most heartwarming and had characters that I really cared about. In Spill terms, this was Better Than Sex. If you don't like this movie, then you're not human!)
To Kill a Mockingbird: (seriously, if you don't like this movie, then I want nothing to do with you. This is truly a masterpiece that shows the innocence as well as the ignorance of humanaity).

American Beauty (I just didn't care for any of the characters. The wife was a hypocrite. The daughter was a b**ch. The daughter's boyfriend was a stoner and a stalker. Why the h*** would anyone date someone like him?! The boyfriend's father was an abusive person, not to mention a homophobe. The cheerleader and main character didn't really interest me. Ugh, this movie is, in my opinion, over-rated).
-Transformers (It should've been called "The Adventures of Sam Witwicky" because the dang movie focused on him rather than the transformers!
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Michael Bay, FOCUS ON THE TRANSFORMERS, not some dang teenage pervert)!
Watchmen (too depressing)

Now I maybe young, but I love to talk about movies, almost to the point where I become obsessive. I like to put my two cents here and list some things that I think makes a good movie. I will be using examples from several films to help prove my point.

By the way, give American Beauty another chance. Try to accept the characters for what they are, focus on Kevin Spacey's character and appreciate his sense of self-realization throughout the film. I think you'll like it more that way.
