Horror Movie Reviews: Frankenstein

This is my review on Frankenstein.

The film was based on the book written by Mary Shelly in 1818 but wasn't actually adapted until 1931. Sometimes people think that the monster was titled Frankenstein but the one with that name was actually the doctor, Henery Frankenstein who was trying to reanimate a dead body. However his assistant, who in this film was named Fritz, not Igor, accidently gets a criminal brain to put into the body. However we soon find out that the reanimated body… Continue

Horror Movie Reviews: The Faculty

The Faculty was a 1998 film that starred Josh Hartnett Elijia Wood, and Salma Hayek.

The story is pretty comparable to the film Invasion of the Body Snatchers. In the film a group of students from different clicks are forced to work together as they soon discover that their teachers have been taken over by aliens.

The film had aspects of a normal horror film like people getting killed off but was different in that it went into the characters interacting and having… Continue

Horror Movie Reviews: Wrong Turn

Wrong Turn was a 2003 horror film that came about during the resurgant of the going out in the woods and getting killed off one by one by slashers, some of the other ones at the time was The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake and The Hills Have Eyes which we will get to next.

The film follows a man who is on his way to a job interview when he is forced into a detour because of an accident. He then comes across some more people who are in the same situation. They soon uncover a house in… Continue

Horror Movie Reviews: The Exorcist

The Exorcist had a simmilar theme to The Omen, however instead of the Devil having a son, in this film he goes possesses a completely innocent little girl.

The girl, Regan first has a seizure but as time went on she starts to do more paranormal things and actually starts to become demonic. Eventually a priest is sent, Father Merrin played by Max Von Sydow who was really great in his role.

The progression of the plot was done great since it just built and built showing the… Continue

Horror Movie Reviews: The Omen

The Omen was a 1976 film that sort of used a theme simmilar to that of the film 'The Exorcist which we will get to next.

This film happens to be about a boy being born who is the son of the devil however he just seems like an average boy, however the film soon shows that the child, named Damien, is actually incrediblely evil. The film starred the actor Gregory Peck who really delivered well in his role. The characters in the film delivered interesting inputs to how people would… Continue
