A couple of days ago, I was stuck with my mom at the house of a lady from our church. While my mom was talking to this certain lady, I was specifically instructed to watch the TV and not get into grown folks’ business. So I did just that. And because it was during the day, and nothing is on at Daytime except really bad Soap Operas and re-runs of Judge Judy and ‘The Price Is Right’, it was fairly easy to stumble upon a channel called ‘Lifetime’.

film school ...is it hard or easy to you?
Watch everything and anything you can get your hands on. Good, yes, but especially bad. You will learn so much from watching mediocre to bad noir that you will begin to understand what exactly makes good noir. Go out and sink yourself into several of those 5-20 movie Noir Boxsets - esecially the ones with all the public domain ones that are $10 for 20 movies and the like.
That said my favorite is "The Killers." Lee Marvin, John Cassavettes, Clu Gulager and Ronald Reagan.
