Leon Reviews "SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS: 1970s Vol. 2" DVDs

Halfway through watching “Saturday Morning Cartoons 1960s Vol.2” I realized that I didn’t watch those cartoons on Saturday mornings at all. I may have been born at the time but I didn’t actually tune in to see them until a few years later when they were in syndication, running weekdays after school on the local UHF station (in D.C. it was channel 20- anyone remember the host, ‘Captain Twenty’? Leon Reviews "PEANUTS: 1970's Collection, Vol. 1" DVD

What’s hard about writing for an audience of such divergent ages is that I don’t know what the Peanuts cartoons mean to you collectively. As child growing up in the 70s - long before there was any concept of YouTube, DVR, DVD or at home VHS- watching “A Charlie Brown Christmas” or “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” were events! You waited all year for CBS to broadcast them (God forbid you should forget which night) and they were almost as enjoyable as the respective holiday it… Continue

You were correct. True Blood books came out 2001 Twilight books 2005. The books are basically identical with True Blood being character driven and having good exposition and a believe premise. While Twilight is the watered down crystal pepsi version of the story.

Leon, how are you keeping up with V? Watching it when it airs or when it is available on Hulu?

I have no choice in the matter. The damn football-loving rednecks in programing have pre-empted the series in favor of giving the local NFL coach his own show to talk about how they are going to prepare for the game. No new episodes for me until Saturday via Hulu.
