R.I.P. Patrick McGoohan, The Prisoner's TV Visionary
By Scott Thill January 14, 2009 | 5:38:00 PM

"I am not a number, I am a free man!" Patrick McGoohan's character Number Six shouted at the panoptic eye in the sky at the beginning of every episode of the revolutionary '60s sci-fi TV series The Prisoner. And although the character would come to dominate McGoohan's life and even chase him out of London following the… Continue

Black Dynamite trailer.... that you can watch at work is out

When “the man” kills his brother, pumps heroin into the local orphanage, and floods the ghetto with a secret weapon disguised as Anaconda Malt Liquor, there is only one brother bad enough, strong enough, and brave enough to take them on: the legendary Black Dynamite.

It's like they filmed Korey's life and then edited him out and put Michael Jai White in :D

Black Dynamite is a throwback with an attitude. Hilarious, campy, hot, and sexy, it plays with every cliché from 1970s fi… Continue

There shoulda been a sequel

It’s easy to come up with movie sequels that just shouldn’t have been made. Whole rambling diatribes have been written about movies like Batman & Robin or Deuce Bigalow European Gigolo.

But I was wondering the other day if I could think of movies that never had a sequel that I would have loved to see a sequel to. Believe me it was a much harder list to populate.

5: The Last Starfighter

I make no bones about it folks I am a child of the 80’s and I remember going to see th… Continue

To each his own. I thought Sinise played that character very well and I really wanted to see him finish the character arc. As to what movies endings I think need to be trimmed...I can't think of any that I'd like to see end earlier in the film as it already is, but two movies that I think should have been rewritten and trimmed down towards the end are the Pelham 123 remake and Appaloosa.

No way Ransom should have ended like that. I mean, it would have been a messed up little twist true enough, but then the whole matter of the reward money would have been left open. Just sort of implied that Shaker got it. People would have been pissed that the bad guy got away and the reward was never resolved. Shaker was pissed off, unstable and greedy enough to keep the film going to where it went. And Mel deserved to get a few hits in after all.

OK, I'm sorry to those overly obessed Dilla fans but I'm tired of people saying he's the best or that no one will ever match Dilla's skills because I can honestly say that I've heard people make better beats than him. I love Dilla but I think most...
