THIS...IS...SPARTA!!!

Welcome to my page

Profile Information

About Me:
Who am I? You sure you want to know? The story of my life is not for the faint of heart. If somebody said it was a happy little tale... if somebody told you I was just your average ordinary guy, not a care in the world... somebody lied. But let me assure you, this, like all stories worth telling, is all about....

MOVIES! That's what it's all about! Movies, movies, movies! Movies are the nectar of life, essential to the survival of mankind! The history books lie, my friends, movies have always been with us ever since the dawn of time! The Garden of Eden was a paradise because movies grew on trees! All Hail Movies!!

OK, enough with the hyperbole. I am Joshua the Anarchist, and as you can tell, I love movies. When you hear the word "anarchist" you probably thing of a murdering psychopath or a flag-burning punk rocker, but this is not true. The official definition of "anarchist" is "a person who promotes disorder or excites revolt against any established rule, law, or custom". And I am here to excite revolt against the established hierarchy of the film industry. Down with the greedy studio execs who heap crapy movie after crapy movie on us simply to turn a profit! Down with the pompous film critics who don't even care about movies! Power to the people! Let the movie revolution begin!

As you can tell, I've got a big problem with the film industry. I believe filmmaking is an art first, a business second. I seek out lesser known movies, because often the best filmmakers are ignored by big budget studios. I especially love fan films. They may be cheap, but there's zero profit motivation involved, and the filmmakers are guaranteed to genuinely care about what they do.

I myself am an amateur writer and aspiring filmmaker/actor. I really love it here at Spill. It's a smaller, more friendly community that other major social sites like Myspace and Facebook, and it's geared toward the things I'm passionate about. Someday, I hope to enter the film and comic book industries. I blog fairly frequently here, to check it out and enjoy...and maybe buy me some items on my amazon wishlist.

My Amazon.com Wish List

Also, feel free to add me as a friend on my MySpace page, my Blogger page, my Multiply page, my Flixster page, my Youtube page, and my Project Playlist page.

Top Ten Film Spies

James Bond's latest adventure Quantum of Solace, is almost here (why do these titles never make sense?) While we wait this this spy spectacular, I thought it'd be fun to compile a list of my top 10 secret agents in cinema history (with the exception of Bond, we all know he's the best).

The Man Who Could Replce Christopher Nolan

You don't need me too tell you what a brilliant director Christopher Nolan is, you know that already. He's taken the dying Batman franchise and transformed it beyond our wildest dreams, simply by looking at it as a film, not a comic book film. It would definitely be tragic if Christopher Nolan were to leave the Batman film series, es… Continue

Fighting the Tyranny: V for Vendetta for Real

One of my favorite graphic novels is Alan Moore's V for Vendetta. It echoed all the frustration many must be feeling during the slow destruction of democracy in the UK. Alan Moore, who lived in Great Britain, wrote a compelling story that unfortunately bear an eerie resemblance to reality. It's seems they take another step toward socialism everyday. They banned guns. The violent crim… Continue

Its all good man. I know that. I was just pointing out my own thoughts of it all. I talked to Leon too on the Matrix fights. Morely on Spiderman2 though. I understand his points, but he doesn't understand that though Spiderman could have taken off Doc Ocks head, he didn't because he was tryin to make Doc Ock tell him where Mary Jane was - NOT kill him.- Spiderman is almost always holding back on villians, except the final Green Goblin fight and Sandman fight in Subway. He destroyed those guys

True and I can see their valid points, but look at it like this. The first fight was good and the third one was AWESOME, but there was no real winner in the third one over all and Neo was weak in the first (the guy kept gettin his ass beat down no matter how many time he punched Smith). They both were really good, but not as good to me as the second. C'mon hes fighting WAAAAYYY more than one smith AND owning them ALL!.
