Actually, that's the one problem I've always had with Jurassic Park 1. The first half was such a "Family-Friendly" film about "Wow, look at the cool dinosaurs. Let's go and be an educational movie while we show them to you". Only to have the second-half of the movie be "Holy shit! Run before they get you" type of movie. While it WAS transitioned well from one story to the other, it felt like it was sort of "Wandering" the first half.

But, admittedly, I think that the Dino-Crisis idea is possibly the best one I've heard so far. lol
