Marvel Movies outside of The Cinematic Universe Part 1

Okay, so after catching up with X-Men: First Class (excellent by the way), I was interested in the other Marvel films. So I'm going to give my thoughts on them and what I think their fates will be.Ghost RiderOkay, this is the tricky one. The fact that it has had two movies means it's now a franchise. But it's shit. Ghost Rider and Spirit of Vengance are awful. But Disney won't buy it because Ghost Rider is too dark of a character for their Marvel world. I think he can be saved though, in the hands of a good writer and director.Likelihood of Survival: SmallDaredevilOkay, this one is unlikely to become a success due to the fact A. Disney won't buy it because once again it's far too dark. Also the Ben Affleck movie and Elektra were horrible.Likelihood of Survival: SmallSee More

Why The Amazing SpiderMan Sucks

The Amazing Spiderman was a 2012 reboot of the iconic superhero franchise. The movie was well recieved by critics and took over $700 million dollars worldwide. But why?! The movie is a piece of shite!Okay the main problem lies in the script. If you're going to reboot a franchise, don't just copy and paste elements from Twilight, Spiderman 1 and Batman Begins! That's just fucking lazy! There are stupid amounts of reboots that are great. Just look at Star Trek. That film rebooted a franchise by a change of continuity and injected the series with humour, character development and diverse action. Batman Begins brought an entire series back from the dead and made it it's own franchise! Also, the movie was a dissappointment. Although I hate the movie, I was looking forward to it! The director, Marc Webb made (500) Days of Summer which is film I think is wonderful. He ballsed up, BIG TIME!Rating: FUCK YOU!!!Okay, so what did you guys think?See More

Hi Joe,

Unfortunately, I'm not going to go see Star Trek Into Darkness because I haven't seen Star Trek (2009).

These are the only things about these movies:

1. The Star Trek movies are a reboot of the original 1979 series of movies staring William Shatner from Over The Hedge and Leonard Nimoy from Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon. It was also a T.V. show.

2. J. J. Abrams, the director of Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness will be directing Star Wars Episode VII.

3. Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness were written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the writers of Transformers (2007), Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen, the upcoming  Ender's Game and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

4. Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon also has 4 Star Trek references because screenwriter Ehren Kruger, the writer of Transformers 2 and Transformers 3 is big Star Trek geek, but also as a nod to the fact that Sentinel Prime is voiced by Leonard Nimoy, who played Spock on Star Trek.

The first Star Trek reference is when Autobot robots Brains and Wheelie, who live in Sam and Carly's apartment are watching an episode of Star Trek and Wheelie says: "I've seen this one. It's the one where Spock goes nuts."

The second reference is when Sam meets his girlfriend, Carly Spencer at work, and is being introduced to Carly's boss, Dylan Gould, Sam likes their workplace and says: "It's a beautiful building you guys have. It's like the Starship Enterprise in here.

The third reference is when Bumblebee says goodbye to Sam at Cape Canaveral: the words "my friend" are sampled from Spock "You are...my friend. I am and always shall be yours.".

The fourth and final reference is when Sentinel Prime activates the Control Pillar, quoting Spock "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few".

5. In the movie Daddy Day Care, Steve Zahn's character of Marvin is also a big Star Trek geek.

6. In the movie Ice Age, the Baby human does a vulcan salute when he walks past a UFO in an ice cave.

7. Drake and Josh parody Star Trek as Space Trek.

Hi Joe,

I just wanted to let you know that my 18th birthday was awesome. I got Home Alone 2 Lost in New York, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Wreck It Ralph all on DVD, a webcam, a smart cellphone for future Call-In Shows, some clothes, $188 and an Oscar.

I also went to see Oz The Great And Powerful and I thought it was an excellent and jubilant prequel to The Wizard of Oz that's filled with a lot of fun, charm, drama and heart. I give Oz The Great And Powerful 5 out of 5 stars and I hope you enjoy Oz The Great And Powerful.

Thanks for the cool birthday wishes everyone.

The only thing that was sad about my birthday was that school was closed to do a snowstorm and I couldn't go and try to get my first kiss like I was hopping for.

Enjoy the pictures.
