So see if you also have a pop-up blocker or spybot program that is blocking the site. Another person recommends this:
"1) You must have Adobe.
2) Your internet connection must be good.
3) Click on chat with right button of mouse ---> click on a file --> allow to get more than 1mb from xat
4) try seeing if it happens to every chat box
5) Contact info@xat.com if you are still having problems."
I would say try emailing them. Perhaps they need you computers IP to fix the issue?

I tried to look throgh some help forums but they weren't all that helpful.
Perhaps we can create a different chat window to replace xat.
What browser and version are you using? Check in different browsers. Do you have the most recent version of Flash Player installed? Also check to make sure you have Javascript enabled and perhaps disable any popup blockers for the page?
There is a different set of code for both the Lounge and the alternate discussion chat room that I set up, so see if either one works for you.
