So...I wrote this while waiting for things to get going on my usual gig as a woodsman, in a soppy tent, way before I had an encounter with one of the Crew and embarassed myself in such a drunken mess that I don't know if I'd be welcome at any of t...
Or am just plain wrong?
Two themes...one from the TV Miniseries V: The Final Battle, aired May 1984, The second from The Terminator, released in October 1984.
Are they similar, or am I going bananas?
Charlie Chaplin is an enigma, and never more so than in the 1928 film "The Circus", in which he starred, Directed, and also composed the score. He is, of course, the Tramp in this picture, and I believe that it is his greatest feat, and also one t...

Does this whole brouhaha surprise anyone? Not me. Cripes, I hate to say it, but ninety-nine times out of a hundred when there's a guy in a position of power women throw themselves at him....and we're only human after all. From the high school foot...
Seriously. If you've ever checked out Miss Swift doing a live performance that wasn't "aided" by precorded singalong vocal tracks, you've seen that this girl can't carry a tune. Maybe she's cute. I'm not even sold on that. Beyonce's song and video...

Yes I agree with you Paths of Glory is certainly a better film than Barry Lyndon as far as a commentary of the ludicrious nature of the military/humanity and justice within but I prefer the look of Barry Lyndon and the long drawn out downfall of a loveable , opportunistic rogue so that's why Barry Lyndon wins for me.
The cinematograhy and music in Barry Lyndon is the best I've seen of many a movie modern or old, some of the scenes just look like Georgian paintings.
Yes, I fully agree. Paths of Glory has a more serious humanitarian message behind it and the action is somewhat better. But I still prefer Barry Lyndon, to me its as near damn perfect a movie can get.

I'm not quite sure what a 'Spill Handle' is but if it rocks, I'm gonna take it as a compliment.
