Looper convoluted ending

Well this is how I interpreted the ending to the film. It was the fact that Cid would grow up to be the Rainmaker but to becoming a superhero instead of a villain. Because if you remember at the beginning of the film Young Joe explains how 10% of the population were mutants granted the powers of T.K( telekinesis) and everyone thought after that there would be superheros saving the world; however all you got were a bunch of idiots floating quarters around impressing girls at clubs. Now jump…See More

Hey is it ok to continue the conversation here, we're hijacking a page that was meant to be about an entirely different subject.

Perhaps I went too far in comparing Nolan to Shymalan, it's inaccurate, let me put it this way I think Nolan is overrated but Shyamalan was WAY overrated for a long time and now people see him as a joke, they're not the same. But the reason I said it is because I think that Nolan's early films, The Following and Memento made use of some great twist in the tale endings which made them hold up on repeat viewing, just like Shyamalan, but I think he got the taste or too much positive feedback from those twist in the tale endings and he started shoehorning them into just about every film he makes, just like Shyamalan!

I think The Dark knight and Memento are amazing but I think The Prestige and Insomnia are kind of dull, so I see Nolan as a guy whose films average out to very good, his best is amazing but his worst isn't that bad. Nolan has received a lot of respect and acclaim for Inception, but it's not all that good, many of the ideas in the film were borrowed from Dark City and The Matrix which frankly did those same ideas much better. Inception is also full of plot holes. I think Nolan is very good, but fandom has made him out to be some kind of messiah.
