The move to Austin is over!

Hell yes. I am officially an Austinite.

Got into town, moved into my surprisingly awesome apartment (you never know what you're going to get when you rent online without seeing it in person), and have begun my new animation job. God I love it here. This is where I start to build my legend. Meet me now while I'm still accessible and not entirely drunk on my own fame and success. :)

GOATSIE!!!
And a link to my short-lived BSG videocast, Battlestar Galacticap. Had to stop posting them because NBC/Universal decided they wanted to be picky about the definition of "fair use": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjGXFol5xrU&fmt=22

You can see more of my work at my personal website, www.BleepingGeek.com

And another video, this time a lapse video of me photoshopping a quick zombie for my website (it's a long story, but basically I had a "Zombie Week" when there was nothing good on TV):

Fantastic Fest Birthday

Hey, if anyone's wondering what to get me for my birthday (Sept. 20th - I might be getting some people together for drinks or whatever) I could really, really use a VIP badge for Fantastic Fest.

And here comes the self-humilating pandering:
PLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSEEEE????

Oh for the love of God, I beg you! BEG YOU! Hahahaha...

Okay, seriously though - I really want to go to Fantastic Fest this year (maybe even cover it, either with text reviews or video depending… Continue

To answer your question...

People often ask me when they meet me online if I actually look anything like my avatar.

Lemme answer that for you (using a really bad photo of myself from the Spill Party this weekend):

In a word: yyyyyyyyup.

The trek to Austin continues...

Wow, I am sick of looking for apartments.

Been working on it for weeks now, and I'm still no closer to finding something by the 10th. Between shifty apartment finding services, cranky old grandma landladies, and "you don't have a nice car, do you? That would be bad here" kinds of offhand comments, I am fed up.

Of course, I finally found a place I kinda liked - 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, townhouse style apartment. Cheap rent and everything. Of course, it turns out that the place looks nothing like th… Continue

2009 Razzie Award Winners - Whaaaaa?

So the 2009 Razzie Awards were given out Saturday (the day before the Oscars, as is tradition) and while I'd rather not argue with them (because everything on this list is MORE than deserving), I do feel like the voting may have been skewed a bit...

But first, the winners:
Worst Picture: The Love Guru

Worst Actor: Mike Myers - The Love Guru

Worst Actress: Par

Awww, c'mon. I'm sure whatever joke you had involving Captain EO is still going to be funny even if it is no longer going to be "obscure."

You want to read my script since you aren't busy?

It's the future and the polar ice caps have melted. One of the last remaining polar bears is Luke Rodgers. He sails the seemingly endless ocean on a quest to reach Jupiter City, one of the last remaining cities in the world. But on the way, he finds a meteorite that has the power to bring the ice caps back and restore the Earth. A dangerous villain wants to use the meteorite to turn the entire planet into a polar wasteland and take over the world. Luke has to destroy the meteorite before this relentless maniac gets his hands on it.

But Luke's got one thing going for him: the meteorite's cosmic powers have given him ice powers. Luke has the ability to become a super hero, but he question is: does he have the courage?

This is kind of a rough cut so expect it to be a little...rough around the edges.

I'll go with "Avatar: The Last Airbender", the music is so awesome and not having it's own OST it's a complete wasted opportunity. The closest there is the composers' MySpace page. You guys got any examples?
