My Top 10 Best Films for the Year

Hey guys! Long time no see!

First off, I know that it’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything on here, and I am also filly aware of the fact that this list may seem kind of late due to the fact that the major portion of award season is already underway. However, this is a list that I have been wanting to do for quite a while, and I have seeing as many films as I can to make it a great one to post it up.

Secondly, I’d like to point that while I have seen quite a bit… Continue

Beckett on Film's Waiting for Godot: An Admirable Attempt

http://blogs.suntimes.com/foreignc/assets_c/2010/05/didigogo-thumb-325x216-21415.jpg

Often times, a major complaint that comes up when a beloved novel or play is adapted into a film is that it isn’t faithful to the source material. Well, in the case of fans of Samuel Beckett, this has never

been a concern because of the simple fact that his plays are legally

required to be taken as strictly literal to the source material as

possible. Whole countries have had their Beckett privileges banned for

even…

Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions: A Spectacular Triumph

http://watchmojo.com/video_games/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/spiderman-shattered-dimensions.jpg

It’s been a little over a year since we had the video-game masterpiece that was Batman: Arkham Asylum and its impact can still be felt even now. With its intricate plot, excellent presentation, and tributary gameplay mechanics, Arkham Asylum showed for the first time that not only could there be a great Batman video game but that superhero games could stand up there with even the best

of the medium while staying true to what made the…

Hellboy: Sword of Storms: A Solid Entry

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/da/Hellboy_Sword_Of_Storms_cover.jpg

Not really having too much else to do at the moment, I decided to sit down and watch the two Hellboy animated movies that they released on DVD. Now I never read the comics, but a while back I got interested in watching the first film so I did. It was

fun, entertaining, and I loved Ron Perlman’s performance as the titular

character. It made me anxious to see the second film, which I did a

couple of years ago. It improved…

Box Office Predictions: September 10th, 2010

Hey guys! It’s that time of the week again, although this time it will be a little different. You see, this week we don’t have a major competition between studios like we have in recent

weeks. No, this week we only have the latest Paul Anderson shitgasm Resident Evil: Afterlife

which will most likely suck ass if the rest of the films were any

indication. However, the other films were big box office successes and

has actually turned the franchise…

I have to tell you what you diss Oliver! but Oliver Reed as Bill Sikes scarred me for life as a kid, I deserved an Oscar nod, I still get nightmares of him as that character!:

Your welcome and I agree about Richard Harris:

He will always be my image of Dumbledore.

I actually liked the fourth one, but I have my problems with it namely Barty Crouch Jr:

I COULD NOT STAND HIM!

Anyway I just cannot stop praising COS if I could moreso than POA, I still think it was just the climax that bothered me because the rest of the film I have to admit was a SOLID adaptation, everything flowed SO well when I see it up until they reach the shrieking shack and that's when they leave out important details that made me like this:

not only as a fan of the books but as a filmgoer, that was screenwriter no no to leave plotholes like that and I just could not jump on the bandwagon and say that's my favorite Potter film when you leave important character arcs and plot points out like that.

Hey I have to disagree about Chamber of Secrets not standing on its own, I think it stand on its own very well. I'm sorry I just feel like I have to defend this film if I can when people call this the weakest Potter film/book and its not, to me this has to be the most fun out of the HP films.

So we agree that both zombies can be frightening depending on the situation...and that both can be threatening depending on the situation...if you're running across town...slow zombies aren't a factor....if you're locked in your house...they are.

Yeah...in a video game...that would be totally useless to have slow zombies. Left 4 Dead has fast zombies...and it's awesome. Although...Call of Duty World at War has a nazi zombie level to play online...and they are pretty slow...and that game gets difficult.

LOL...lets get started on writting that film. I just think that the idea of something so slow...that pretty much embodies death...is scary. Think about it. No matter how fast you run you can never out run it forever. Thats where the real fear comes in. Besides...give zombies a break...they're moving corpses for petes sake!
I would be scared of both. I just think in the end...slow zombies are a more classic kind of horror. Fast zombies are a new age of horror.
