- Directors are over-rated. They are little more than the cumulative mass of Writer, Cinematographer, Costume Designer, Artist, Sound Editor, and Actors which form the true basis of a good film.
That said they do manage things greatly. Something tells me if Guillmo Del Torro directed Blade 3 it would have been the shit.
They keep them in line, but not too much more.
