Christopher Golden and Mike Mignola's post WWI vampire novel? I recently finished it and thought it was very cool. I loved the allegory for the nature of mankind, and the characters I thought were all pretty cool. The book itself is beautiful. SO ha…

Profile Information

Hometown:
Chicago, IL.
About Me:
Comics, movies, gaming, books. I like it all. As far as movies go, scifi/fantasy, drama, action, if its a good solid film Im not too biased. I LOVE to read, again, lots of scifi/fantasy, but Im also a big John Steinbeck fan, I loved On the Road by Jack Kerouac, many of Shakespeares more famous plays, Truman Capote's In Cold Blood. Comics, Im a big marvel guy, but rather new to the superhero scene. Reading the Captain America series, Iron Man: Director of Shield, Hulk, Thor, Ultimates. Ive been into Star Wars comics since Republic really got into the clone wars and Quinlan Vos (if youre getting this, I salute you.) I am an absolute music addict, I love classic rock and the like, Bob Marley, the Stones, The Beatles, The Who, Hendrix, Dylan.
All Time Favorite Movies:
The original Star Wars trilogy,Once Upon A Time In the West, Lord of the Rings, Children of Men, Sin City, No Country for Old Men, the Indiana Jones trilogy, Forrest Gump, Road to Perdition, Saving Private Ryan, The Dollars Trilogy (A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly) The Departed, The Sting, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Alien, Aliens, Predator, Iron Man, The Graduate, Rainman, the list continues on.
All Time Worst Movies:
Teen horror movies as a genre, epic movie, date movie, etc. Shoot 'em up let me down big time. Anything with Larry the Cable Guy in an acting role. I think that a good movie is one that really follows you, so most of the worst ones Ive seen have been selectively wiped from my conscience.
Favorite Actors or Actresses:
Hmm, lots of these.John Hurt, Brad Pitt, Harrison Ford, Dustin Hoffman, Clint Eastwood, Clive Owen, Morgan Freeman, Sam Jackson, Ed Norton, Robert Downey JR., Ed Harris, William Hurt, Ron Perlman, Ian McKellan. Ive really gotten alot out of recent performances from people like Josh Brolan, Djimon Honsou, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Javier Bardem. Leonardo DiCaprio has really shown, in my mind, that he can competently act. Actresses, hmm Ellen Page, Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton.
Favorite Directors:
Really just getting into the movie scene, so this one might be hard. Guillermo Del Toro, Steven Spielberg, The Cohen brothers, Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, James Cameron, Ridley Scott, Sergio Leone.

Yeah, GW sent me a copy of the rules and a few units last week and I have since been building a Mordor Army - which is up to about 4000pts, with more in the mail from Ebay auctions and trades. It's a great game that I am very much in love with right now.

No photo album yet - but at the speed I'm painting Mordor, I should have something up shortly.

Yeah. I am liking the current run. I've never read Deadpool before this but I am finding it hilarious. Glad you are liking LEOG! Thanks for the support!

The most important thing is that it be a GOOD movie and Sam Mendes knows how to make good movies.

I liked it but it seemed very abrupt. Also, Nicj Fury plays an important role in the current Captain America storyline and that book isn't (so far) dealing with Secret Invasion at all.

I just found out that Robert DeNiro is producing a biopic about Missy Elliot. WTF makes her life so interesting that we gotta see it on the big screen. I rather see another State Property film instead a female rapper who's life is not as interesting…
