Who is Captain America?

Any nerd worth his Wizard Magazine subscription considers that question fundamental fan boy trivia. Hell, even your tweenie bopping, Twilight reading little cousin is probably privy to the now mythological origins of the World War II icon and his honorable place within pop culture history. In a decade that’s seen many of our childhood heroes blossom to mainstream recognition, we, the cooperative comic-book collecting community anxiou… Continue

The Funny Page!

Tonight, the Mrs. will be dragging me to see The Twilight Saga: New Moon to sate her appetite for Pop Watch style vamps. With a Nintendo DS, an iPod and my trusty BlackBerry in my utility belt, I think I’ll manage to come out of the theater with my sanity in tact. My pride – that’s another story, but I digress.

As the week has dragged on, the thought of enduring two hours of tweeny-bopper vamps from Oregon had me q… Continue

Looking forward to "Avatar" next month...reminds me of "Dances with Wolves" in space. Similar story...soldier meets natives, falls in love and joins indians, turns against his own people and fights against injustice.

Amy Archer: Is this guy from Chumpsville or what? Ha! I even pulled the old mother routine.

HaHa, Daniel, I hear you.. *Roland Likes to Blow things up, and he can DIE Happy now he's finally destroyed the whole world* (his whole career has been leading up to this!)
I agree the dialogue in a lot of Cusack's films are witty, but this one in particular is awesome.
I feel too, the unsung hero of John Cusack films is Jeremy Piven, why he is Not a bigger star I don't know.
In the Coen Brothers canon "Hudsucker" is that forgotten child ..I mean there are SO Many great Coen Brothers films... but this one has that "Snappy Patter / machinegun" dialogue that we saw in films from the 30's & 40's * the scenes with Jennifer Jason Leigh & Bruce Campbell* ....it is SO Funny too!
(scenes too numerous to mention)
