About Me:
I'm DSS. I'm a fan of movies and film history, obviously. The Spill crew here are both informative and humorous when it comes to movie reviews, which is why I like it here at this site. I'm also a huge fan of DC Comics, rock music mostly from the 80s to late 90s, as well as a brony.

And one thing, people...if you send me a friend request and I find some innapropriate, suggestive material on your page and in your albums, I'm gonna have to decline it. I restrict myself with making friends on websites, groups, and forums for obvious safety reasons. This also applies with my comments board. Example: if you want to post pics with your comment, make sure that they're on a PG-level, please.

Well, I guess that'll rap up my introduction, folks. See ya soon...

My Favorite Movies of 2011

2011 was an odd year for movies, in my opinion. Especially since this was the year with most sequels ever released (27 of them if I remember right).

But I still got some favs to share...

10.) Cars 2

This film wasn't as bad as most made it out to be, but it still felt mediocre at best, and it was quite crazy be comparison to the first movie. But the film, to its credit, has some moments of honest heart, and it is visually…

My review of Batman: Year One

This was one of my most anticipated movies of the year. I, of course, read the original graphic novel first, and I throughly enjoyed it. When I heard that the movie was a near-perfect adaptation, that made me all the more excited. So when I watched it yesterday, I was thinking, this movie nearly succeeded all expectations and gave me a few new…

My review of Transformers: Dark of the Moon

I was expecting myself to hate this movie, and I was dreading when my Dad rented this, but after having seen this...let me be honest, this is the only Transformers movie I actually kinda liked. But at the same time, I see its problems.

On the positive notes...The visual effects are incredible. The entire third act final battle…

My review of Rise of the Planet of the Apes

What a spell-binder!

Good stuff...The visual effects for the apes are extraordinary, putting this movie instantly in top ranks with King Kong and Avatar, in my opinion. It doesn't feel overdone, nor does it feel fake, its just simply perfect. The acting is magnificent, especially from Andy Serkis as Ceasar, and from all the…
