I tend to go for TV more than movies, since I like storytelling that allows for a lot of character development, which tends to happen best in long, epic arcs over many episodes and seasons. (That, and I'm cheap.) However, I am trying to broaden my scope and explore shorter story arcs. I am obsessed with character and narrative, which has made my life as an academic historian rather unpleasant... ("Doing history" isn't what everyone thinks it is.) I am currently branching out into writing historical fiction.
All Time Favorite Movies:
"Pump Up the Volume"
"From Hell"
"Lord of the Rings" trilogy
"The Endless Summer"
"The Dark Knight"
"American Graffiti"
"Saving Private Ryan"
"300" (the real Spartans would have LOVED it!)
"Inglourious Basterds"
All Time Worst Movies:
"Dr. Strangelove"
"White Men Can't Jump"
"The Freshman"
"The Blair Witch Project" (or, as I would have titled it "Three Stupid People Get Lost in the Woods.")
Favorite Actors or Actresses:
Christian Bale
Johnny Depp
Favorite Directors:
Honestly, I pay more attention to writing than directing:
David S. Goyer
Joss Whedon

PS: I like what you said about storytelling in your bio. TV does have the edge ober a movie as you can spend a season with characters and get to know them better and what makes them tick.
A tad off topic but it reminds me of how I feel about book adapts . I've seen plenty of adapts which are just basic bullet points or the best bits of the book picked from it. I know why it's done of course but it is a shame alot of things get left out of shortned you know?
I try and do that with episodiac storytelling whenever I write stuff. Man do I TRY. lol. Anyway enjoy the site.=>
