No news yet Blake, got to say I'm hating all this waiting around if I may say so. I'm gonna call again today cause I need to start organizing my visa if I get in but we'll see. I definitely need to buy you and Katie a drink for all the help you've given me.
Hey Blake I was looking up Chapman on YouTube and saw alot of people who posted up introductory videos for their application for Fall semester and I was wondering if you had to do one? Cheers mate, sorry to keep buggin.
Oh sweet as fuck mate! That's great news and I got to say congrats on you getting to Chapman. Hopefully I'll get in and see you on campus and buy you many pints for your help.
By the way I know it's a bit late but would you mind having a quick peek at my Personal Statement and tellin me how it is, just curious since you got in you know how a good one looks like and I still have some time to make some corrections if it's a bit naff.
Hey mate it's been a while but I just sent my Portfolio to Chapman. Thank you for all your advice, it's really helped me with what I did. Like you advised I sent my best films and made myself known to Admission people to help my chances. By the way did you get into Chapman yet?
I gotta say mate those vids you showed me were fantastic. I loved both Home and that Defeated music video. Defeated was such a great concept of the box set but the fact it was shot with a low budget made me love it even more. But I think I loved home even more. Thing is in that film nothing much happens but your camera shots were so engaging that it held my interest and it was visually very moving. Was it all shot hand held by the way? That's one thing I need to work on my next film, to move the camera alot more.
Here's the film I'm gonna send to Chapman, if they ask for it. I shot this when I studied in Prague last summer. I'm just about to finish my written portfolio for Chapman, which is good. How did your interview go?
Thanks for the advice. I know it took time for you to write all that and I'm sure your NORMAL haha but I gotta say you do sound like a smart bloke. Plus all that inside info in how these unis operate has opened my eyes because since I'm British I don't know much about these universities in America so cheers. I know that your busy but if it's not too much trouble would it be okay for you to read my Personal Statement when you got spare time and tell me what I could do better cause you seem to know what your doing. I'm really tryin hard to get into Chapman and I got a feeling that you're gonna get in. I will say that if I get into Chapman then I lay a promise down mate than I will be buying you pints all year round.
Hey mate thanks alot for offering to help out. Basically I'm applying to Chapman (My first choice) for Fall this year and they're deadline is in May 1 and I'm applying to USC and University of Texas for Spring next year since I missed the deadline. I'm trying to do an MFA Film Making course and I got denied acceptance from CalArts for this year.
Scrivs told me you got accepted in USC and are going for an interview for Chapman. So pretty much I wanted to ask for advice for a successful application since your so good at it and because I'm worried about whether I'll be accepted or not. If you got into USC then you HAVE to be getting into Chapman so what do you think I should do that your doing?
By the way cheers mate, I've been dying to get to America all year so this really helps. Your a cool bloke
