About Me:
What? Me? Well, not the biggest partygoer or much of a "Hey, look at me" guy. I just chill with some buds or going out and catching movies whenever I can. I try not to be another face in the crowd, which, in turn, means I'll miss out on a lot of opportunities by not being a follower. But whatever. If I have to tag along and hop on the bandwagon, I'd rather take the slow approach. Yes, a stupid idea and probably not the best tactic- particularly for a site like this, but again, I joined to talk with others about movies and other topics- not compare photos.
All Time Favorite Movies:
Porky's, Friday, Burglar, A Time to Kill, A Few Good Men, There's Something About Mary, Intolerance, Mississippi Burning, Clerks, O Brother Where Art Thou?, Back to the Future I-III, Saw I-III, Se7en, Uptown Saturday Night, Let's Do It Again, In the Heat of the Night, Kill Bill Vol I & II, Monty Python: The Meaning of Life, Collateral, Fast Times At Ridgemont High, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Matrix, No Country for Old Men, Bad News Bears (1976), Das Boot, The Wizard of Oz, Bamboozled, Mortal Kombat, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Toy Story 2, All About the Benjamins, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (because of Angelina Jolie), The Wizard, Spirited Away, Paint Scheme Depression, Frost/Nixon, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
All Time Worst Movies:
The Messengers, Superbad, Rocky V, Saw V, The Brave One, Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas, Scary Movie 3, Batman & Robin, Super Mario Bros., Thomas & The Magic Railroad (you want Americanization at its finest?)

Winners of 61st Primetime Emmy Awards

When you have to shoehorn in Dr. Horrible and Nathan Fillion into the Emmy broadcast and have that not even be funny, you're trying to grab ratings. Nonetheless, aside from the obligatory "pat ourselves on the back" of the Emmys, Ricky Gervais was funny as always and one show I loved but thought wouldn't get recognized ended up doing so. So fo those who didn't watch it or just unable to find it, here's the list of nominees and winners:

The Brave One Review: Beatrix Kiddo Lite

With some films, you can understand how performances can garner an Academy Award or Golden Globe nomination. How Jodie Foster managed to pull off a Golden Globe nomination with this pile escapes me. Yes, it's not a recent film, but this pissed me off so much that I decided to write about it, as if it mattered at this point.

“The monster who took you away from me will soon learn that revenge is a dish best served cold,” said Mr. Freeze to a replica of his dead wife in the Batman: The Animated Se… Continue

Dark Knight Fails to Sink Titanic

First off, I'm as sick of the Dark Knight talk as anyone else is, but I find it strange that all of this "Time to sink the Titanic" talk has died down. Maybe it was moreso wishful thinking than just plain stupidity because there was no way The Dark Knight re-release would bring it anywhere near Titanic's domestic gross.

According to a post on Box Office Mojo:

"As the Watchmen entered the fray, the biggest superhero exited. Distributor Warner Bros. has hung up the cowl and cape for The DarContinue

Raimi Hints at Morbius for Spider-Man 4

With all of the news concerning Watchmen, Iron Man 2, The Dark Knight sequel, and the Superman reboot, Spider Man 4 is sitting well on the sidelines.

In October of 2008, Raimi stated that he wanted two Spider-Man movies back to back with Curt Connors as the Lizard (although, since the Doc kept part of the symbiote with him, would that potentially be room for Carnage? Hopefully not.)

Anyway, in an Empire Magazine story, Raimi's decision for a villain could head back… Continue

Less Luthor in Next Superman Flick

Yeah, so it's no secret that the majority of people have had enough of Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey or anyone with the name Lex Luthor popping up in Superman movies.

But honestly, who could ever get tired of Otis?

Well, chalk up this rumor next to the "Jolie confirmed as Catwoman" tall tale on the list of rumors for superhero movies: According to Latino Source (mind you, from the site name… Continue

On the "shootin the shit" podcast you made this response to me:
"And Tyler...while your rant doesn't do anything except show how much you probably worship a golden CD with West's music on it, the fact that you, me, and everyone else listening and are commenting on this shows that yes, people care this much about celebrities- well, for me, it's seeing them at their worst sometimes- and we accept that people die often. That's not something we can stop. An inflated ego, yes, that's something West ought to have control over, yet he doesn't."
Hmm well I see why you might think that, but if you look on my page I have added quite a bit of music and only 1 or 2 songs by Kanye. Most are Eminem, JayZ, Nas, Rage Against the Machine. So that's not a very valid point. I only like 1 or 2 songs off most of his albums.
As for the celebrities thing... this being a site dedicated to entertainment/ movies I would expect that this would be the place to talk about it. That's why I come here anyway. But the fact that Kanye's little outburst actually made it to legitimate news stations on TV, the fact that it became a trending topic on twitter, all that bugs me a little.
But my biggest point was the hypocrisy. If you can find a single widely popular and financially successful album by a rapper where they don't make any unfounded egotistical statements then I'll buy you a cookie, because it doesn't exist. So why do people get so damn upset when they do it in public? It's just not that big of a deal.
And last, I would just like to point out that when you said "you, me, and everyone else listening and are commenting on this shows that yes, people care this much about celebrities" you were assuming that I was here for the celebrities. I didn't even watch the VMA's, I couldn't give a fuck less about celebrities... the thing that I'm interested in is how fascinated other people are with them. They're just people like you or me, but everyone elevates them to this almost godly level, and I just don't get it.
Hope this wasn't too long or that you haven't completely lost interest already haha, I tend to over explain my positions.

Haha I remember this commercial. "It's a me, Mario" -awesome.
You are dead-on with the games that you had to spin the toggle fast being the best. It ruined controlers and was pretty bad for your health, which may not be a good thing in a game made for kids and drunken young adults. But you and I know that any risk taken was well worth it.

Man whenever Mario showed up at my parties, he only wanted to play Grab Bag.

I admit some blacks do wrong (commit crimes, act gangsta, sag pants), but they are in a system run by white people that sets them up for failure. I know all politics are corrupt and stupid but Obama winnin is a big deal because he's a black man (with a black family) with a ethic name in a mostly white country.
Frankly, what r u trying to prove (do u even know)? How can bringing up a sad time in black history by wearin tar be positive? I know most white people are racist (have been so since they lost their pigment circa 10000 years ago), tell me something i don't know. The pigment proteins in your skin and ur nose shape are NOT important.
