Okay, I'm generally against remakes, period. Remaking a classic is lazy, unoriginal, and just a pathetic attempt to rob a poor schmo out of their hard earned money. Plus the real reason they keep making refurbished manure is because they target the people who don't know any better. That would be the 13-17 or 18 teeny boppers, who have nothing to do after school Friday nights but hang out at the local theater with their Blackberries and posse'. Every once in a while though, a good one does come a…

i know!!!!
i'm so excited for it :)
I'm mixed about it, I love the direction, the dream sequences look really cool. I enjoyed the scene with Freddy running away from the parents, although I don't understand the logic of taking off an item of clothing just before you die! Was it that that item of clothing was so unfashionable he wouldn't want to be seen dead in it?!
I just don't like the whiney stereotypical teens, and I'm not too hot on the realistic make-up, I mean I don't want to feel sorry for Freddy and start donating to the Skin-Graft Foundation for Fred Kruger. I just want to be scared, so having a more freshly burned face would have been cool. i don't mind the voice, it's new and J.E.H seems to give an amazing performance as Freddy. Also anyone who kills off a cast member of Twilight in their film automatically gets a thumbs up!
So yeah I'll see it, it's gotta be better than Nightmares 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 (FvsJ)! What do you think of it?!
:P
LOL did you see Bill Murray on that internet sketch called FCU: Fact Checkers Unit?
:D
I thought most of the sequels were either cliche or ridiculous. I hated Zombie Jason, it just seemed stupid. I more enjoyed the idea of an obsessed copycat who carried on his work elsewhere. I mean if you're going to kill of Jason either leave the franchise alone (which movie franchises should do after the third film) or start a new Saga with an apprentice (my preference is just do a trilogy and leave it at that).
The formula of teens getting killed is completely boring, why can't we give Jason a challenge, like people who are armed? The snow sounds good but Fuller doesn't like the cold so he said it probably wouldn't happen 0_o
niceeeeee:)
What I'd like to see next is not teens in the woods, but a group of FBI tracking him down, kinda like in First Blood, but replace John Rambo with Jason Vorhees, make it tense and full of nasty deaths, something other than just "teenagers" getting killed. Or maybe lumber jacks who have been sent to demolish the place to build houses on Camp Crystal Lake, and Jason sabotages their machinery, and they have to survive the night. Maybe we can even see Jason pick up a chainsaw then? :D
I think they'll make Freddy look taller, then again Robert Englund said he's always imagined Freddy as impish... Daniel Craig is only my hight (5 ft 10), and they had to give him platforms whenever he was with Olga Kurylenko because when she wore high heels, she was taller than him. Also a lot of low angle shots could be used too. So I guess there's a lot of ways around hight being a factor. However based on pure performance I reckon JEH can pull off an intense Freddy.
Yeah, Brad's heart is in the right place, you can tell by his Blog that he does like making movies, and he uses that blog to change the film depending on fan comments and fan reactions to leaked scripts. Well at least with Nightmare on Elm Street, not sure about previous movies, but I know he's taking the criticism for the first Friday from fan and critic reactions, and he's going to try and chose a script for part 2 that improves on the parts that sucked in the previous film.
