About Me:
I'm not really a movie expert, but I love watching movies with my friends and talking about them. I have no specific preferences in movie genres but I easily can get in an argument about what movie is great or what not, 'cause I consider myself to have a pretty good taste (just look at the list down there...) in movies to ;-). But it all stays pretty civilized, 'cause I'm not really a movie- nerd (at least, I hope so...well but hey, we all have our little mistakes, don't we?). Finally, I just have to say I'm glad to be in this great community of movie- geeks and I apologize for eventual spelling mistakes. Greets from Germany!!
All Time Favorite Movies:
Nothing new on Western Front, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Braindead, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, War of the Worlds (the original), Full Metal Jacket, The Matrix, Apocalypse Now, In China they eat Dogs, Old men in new cars, Alien 1&2, Terminator 1&2, Das Boot, Batman begins, The Dark Knight, 300, Sin City, The great Dictator, Pulp fiction, Death Proof, American History X, Trainspotting, Schwarze Schafe, Equilibrium, Die Brücke, Bienvenue avec les Chti's, Burn after Reading, Star Wars (the old trilogy), Spaceballs, Indiana Jones (again, the old ones), Evil Dead 3, Shoot 'em up, Mars Attacks, Herr Lehmann, The Machinist
All Time Worst Movies:
The new Star Wars movies (exept Revenge of the Sith), all the shitty horror movie- remakes, the Harry Potter movies and so many more I'm unfortunate enough to have seen but lucky enough not to remember right now ;-)
Favorite Directors:
Stanley Cubrick, Francis Ford Koppola, Quentin Tarantino, James Cameron, Wolfgang Peterson, Ridley Scott, Steven Spielberg, Danny Boyle, Christopher Nolan, Peter Jackson

Even more movies I'd recommend

Hey, I watched several movies which I can fully recommend:
Pan's Labyrinth, No Country for old Men, Letters from Iwo Jima
So for anybody who hasen't watched them yet, do it. It's absolutely worth it!
Finally for anyone who also likes more absurde movies that make absolutely no sense what so ever: Godzilla Final Wars!!!! So stupid an yet so entertaining! One of the most spectacular Godzilla movies.
If you like movies of that kind, give it a try.

Badass movie blog pt. 2

Hey, I watched "3:10 to Yuma" a few days ago. I think it's a very cool movie and I'm glad I watched it finally. Generally I'm not so interested in the Western-genre, but this one is really good. Russel Crowe and Chistian Bale in one movie, you can't go wrong. Although I didn't understand everything (watched it in English and that wild-west-accent is pretty hard to understand...) I have to say, it's an A+ movie for me. Two thumbs up! :-)

Recently watched bad-ass movies

Hey, I bought "The Machinist" recently and have to say it's a really good, thrilling movie. Christian Bale does an excellent performance as a guy, trying to remember who he is and why he couldn't sleep properly for over a year. Real clever story and good twists. Just heared about this movie from a friend some time ago and finally checked it out.
Full price movie to me.
