Ah what I would give to get paid for write movie reviews on the side. To my understanding, you gotta rack up a ton of writing samples and then start applying to newspapers or websites with your best stuff. Make sure to have other people critique your stuff so you can keep being awesome at it

Nah dude, I'm just a law student who loves watching and reviewing movies on my free time. But I do know if you're persistent and diligent about going to sites like gofobo.com or advancescreenings.com, you can find a free advance screening somewhere close to you. Then you gotta be at the screening an hour in advance to save your seat since your ticket doesn't guarantee admission.  Believe me, I'm so happy I didn't have to pay for schlock like Sucker Punch.
