We all love Lost. The characters, the mystery, the crazy Scottish guy pushing a button in a hatch for three years. But the best moment in the six years was Jack Shephard's Captian Falcon-style bitch slap he gave to Flocke in the final episode.See More

The Five Most Important Films of The Last 20 Years

Seeing as this is the first year of a new decade, I thought I'd put together a retrospective of what I think are the defining films of my generation (Gen Y). Since 1990, we have been treated to some spectacular works of beauty in cinema and what could possibly be some of the best films of all time. I've chosen five films, each choice based on political significance, social significance, box office, et al. With that said I'll begin with some honorable (and dishonorable) mentions.Honorable…See More

Review- Rocket Science

Man, I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

This little-known indie flick is one of the few films that came up and surprised me. That in itself is weird, considering "Rocket Science" won the Dramatic Directing prize at Sundance in 2007 (which was very well deserved).

This very weird, darkly comic drama centers around Hal Hefner, a very intelligent but socially awkward teenager with a stutter that teeters on emotionally… Continue

Holden's Movie Minute: Watchmen

It is not a sad day, sad, day, sad day...We finally have a NEARLY accurate Alan Moore adaptation. At 2 hrs 45 mins, this movie is very long. That said, I was never bored.

Starting off, The Comedian's death and the opening credits were astounding. I was almost brought to tears by seeing the great references to Dollar Bill and Silouhette's tragic demise and seeing the assassination of JFK by the Comedian. The Casting for this film was… Continue

Review- Frost/Nixon

Man, man, man am I glad I'm not an Academy voter this year. Not only is there Slumdog Millionare and Benjamin Button and Milk, but they have to deal with Frost/Nixon as well. Whew.

Frost Nixon is based on the broadway. The play itself was based off of the seminal interviews of Richard Nixon by David Frost. These interviews were important because it was the only time that Nixon admitted guilt in the Watergate scandal after Gerald Ford's… Continue

I believe it. It's super-cracky. If you liked it, you should play "The Elder Scrolls IV" as well. It's by the same folks and plays very similarly with the same level of technology only taking place in a d&d type scenario.

Holden, that was extraordinarily generous of you to send me "Fallout 3". That was absolutely the TOP of my list video game I wanted to own. Now I've just got to keep it from taking over my life. Easier said than done since it's pretty amazing stuff. Thank you so very much for your kindness!
