Ok, so I am not a fan of certain technologies. I do not like mobile marketing because I feel people should have the option to find messages themselves rather than be bombarded by them. I feel like if a message or ad is very good people will find it themselves with being flooded by it. The only mobile marketing I can think of recently is an ad I heard on the radio for CIBC. I am not the biggest fan of youtube. I only use it to find names of songs or artists. For the most part I don't like the visual quality of the video (usually 360 p). For the most part the videos I view online are on two sites: g4tv.ca and spill.com (of course). These videos are almost impossible to access anywhere else and I also do not have cable. G4tv.ca publishes all of their material online as well as on their television channel daily. I would say I watch half an hour to 2 hours at most in…See More

Difference between watching online videos and television

ok so I've seen almost every nominee
So earlier in the year I watched and purchased Up, Inglorious Basterds, Hurt Locker and District 9. All four had their critical points that made them Academy Award material. Up is tremendously detailed with it's underlining story, Inglorious Basterds had amazing characters and built suspense better than any film in 2009. The Hurt Locker had originality and amazing camera views with a fairly good lead role. Finally District 9 is simply one of the most clever ideas in ages and executed with half… Continue

- Oh, I'm not actually in Film Studies, but it is my minor. I major in English at Carleton:) I loved Never Let Me Go and Monsters! Glad you enjoyed them since I know most people thought they were just ok or not that good. And I thought Conviction was pretty solid. Haha I just got a blu-ray player so I haven't bought any blu-rays yet! I'm too used to my old fashioned DVDs lol Any you recommend to start my collection?
