Owning Multiple Copies of One Game

Whether it be from loosing a game to unforeseen events, breaking through overuse and/or abuse or sold and/or given away video games come and go. In addition, in time where remakes and ports can be pushed into the public to make a quick buck for a company the market is fulled with multiple copies. Still, there have been times in my life were I have felt compelled to purchase a game multiple times or have received multiple copies of the same game. Myself I now have all copies of Final Fantasy IV…See More

A Company and a Review: Dark Cloud

Ah Level 5, how you have launched your way into my and the hearts of gamers everywhere. Relatively unknown a few years ago you now have given us the masterpiece of story and stimulus that is the Professor Layton series and have revitalized the western interest in the Dragon Quest (Warrior) series. Over the horizon we see them at work on of the most anticipated and completely new IP RPG that is White Knight Chronicles and are working the famous Studio Ghibli (you know the studio that does those… Continue

A Reply and a Review: Tomba!

When people ask me why I play certain games I have a variety of different answers. If I am playing a game like Professor Layton or Brain Age I say I am testing my mind. If I am playing a game online (no matter the genre) I usually say the reason is because I like playing with others. When I am playing an RPG I say I want to be part of a story. Then there are some games that I have the simple answer of: “I just want to have some fun”. Much to the chagrin of my parents, I give this answer a lot.… Continue

A Memory and a Review: Kirby's Dreamland

Wow that review was long, so this one will be shorter.

There is always something that can be said about parents. Sure they may not know what you always want but there is that rare occasion that they will surprise you; such is the case for a very rare day when I was nine. It was the end of the summer, camp was over and soon we would be heading off to my family in Rhode Island. It was a seemingly unbearable trip at the time except for the fact that I had my Gameboy Color, the clear… Continue

A Milestone and a Review: killer7

My videogame collection just reached three hundred the other day (I know that is nothing compared to some of you guys), and although my parents feel I have wasted a combination of my hard earned cash and their “donations” I find I finally have enough of a variety of games to review them. Sure my collection only goes so far back to the original Gameboy and the Playstation but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a wealth of great titles: hard to come by gems, instant classics, personal favorites and… Continue

Sony Should Listen To Me

Well I was just casually looking at the Playstation Store website and I got a really crazy idea. Since Sony already is beginning to (slowly) rerelease their Playstation titles I was thinking about a way they could improve the store so that they would be making a lot more money. I know it has been a slow start/rocky road for the PSP but it is finally becoming popular. If anyone has seen the market in Japan you should know about its killer app Monster Hunter 2ndG and although it may not make as… Continue

What do you think about the Ghostbusters game that's coming out. And have you heard anything about the new Alien vs Predator game that's supposed to come out for the x-box360

What's AVGN? And as long as they're entertaining, people like to read reviews of either good or bad games. Good luck with your novel!

Hey, man, sorry I didn't respond to the post before. I'm an idiot. I would be more than happy to read one of your reviews, mi amigo, and offer some suggestions (if I may be so bold).

Since you asked so nicely instead of groveling like some people *coughDarthVadercough*, I tried to read your review of Killer7. Personally, I've never played it myself but I hear mixed things, (mostly positive things), and it peaked my interest.

Now, you have a great writing style, you're humorous and you incorporate lots of wit into your reviews. You cover the points of the games and you leave nothing out of detail. You explain why it's a milestone and why it's so great but the flaw is that you dragged it on way too long. Damn man, no offense, but I lost interest not even halfway through it. That shit was LONG! My eyes were barraged with text after text. Maybe more pictures would help break up the monotony of words but, then again, I'm that kinda guy. Text just after text just bores me. So, my advice is add more pictures just to break up the wall of text and maybe chop it down some. Remember, that's just me, though.

Don't think I'll be able to but if you do review the Halo Wars demo if you do) search around the pages you'll find my review.

Unfortuneatly I have not played anything recent like FEAR 2. so I wouldn't be much help

I think the best song in the movie is "Legal Assassin" because it shows the character's internal struggle with being a dad and being a repo man. If you put enough emotion into it, it could totally wow your teacher.

Well, welcome back and it's nice that you thought of me first...

To tell you the truth, you didn't miss out on much. The site's gotten a bit slower because most of the members are in middle school and they can't seem to muster up the strength to spam the night away like days of yore. Sprinkle in a few arguments here and there and that's about it.

Welcome back!

Amen, I meant some of the voices for the second game were fitting for some characters, the Evil Water Pig, I'm glad you written that review I felt like the only person among my friends to appreciate this franchise. Did you have expectations for the unmade sequel to Evil Swine Returns, before knowledge of the company's hardships?

Thanks for that review of Tomba! I would have never realized how much quality went into these games when I was a kid (definitely not voice acting however), it's unfortunate the company ended before a third game could be made.
