@Miracleman Did you even read anything I just said? Dude listen to yourself, you're delusional and everything you just wrote has been proven wrong and is utter lies. And saying things like "There is not ONE good thing that has ever come out of anyone owning a gun, and it never will." that's just making up stuff out of you're ass to prove your own argument at this point because that's straight up BS and you should do your research.So Here's a good article showing GOOD things happening all the time resulting from owning guns and how the media purposely decides to broadcast only bad news and horrible incidents about hem: http://www.lewrockwell.com/lott/lott11.html 
You should seriously reevaluate your points of view on this whole thing. You have wrong judgments and you are wrong on so many if not all levels.And I suggest you use facts next time you wanna make a good argument even if it's to prove someone like me wrong. Anyways Guns EXIST and they are here to stay, and they are a tool, better to have them evenly in good hands than just on one side.Remember that.

Oh my god, shut up. The government is not trying to "take away your guns", nor are they trying to eliminate our means of "protection". The point Damocles was trying to make is that the government doesn't NEED to take away a bunch of redneck's guns to be able to wipe you off the surface of the Earth. Taking away your guns is not some secret ploy to make you defenseless when they try to make America into some totalitarian dictatorship. They're doing so because goddamn it, GUNS KILL PEOPLE. There is not ONE good thing that has ever come out of anyone owning a gun, and it never will. And yes, you do go to jail for shooting and killing someone "on your property", as you should. It's a blatant disregard for human life. And yeah, these are our country's founding principles. But I hope you do realize - the Founding Fathers were wrong about a lot of shit. They were revolutionaries, and we are not. If you want to be like them, go right ahead. Start a war against the government, let me know how that goes for you.

@Damocles LOL if our government really thought that guns couldn't protect us against them in any way they would not be making such BIG efforts to infringe our rights to bare arms.And they are trying really hard to infringe the 2nd amendment all the time. And if other countries are willing to run the risk of being defenseless than that's their problem, cause unlike them our country was founded on the concept of Freedom itself and we have done more progress in many ways than all of them even tho we've only been a country for only 250 plus years while they were countries for far more centuries..And that says something (regardless of how bad things are getting now) And like you said " If government wants to own you and subdue it's populous then it will." but knowing you have weapons they will think twice before doing that and if comes a day when they decide to take guns by force from you the difference will be that you'll be able to take down a couple of them down with you before you die. Not to mention that could lead to a civil war. And while yes I agree with you that "As with all things there is a better way of doing things that lays somewhere in the middle." things are also not that simply easy for our government to own us as they have to spend Trillions of dollars in propaganda just to keep us at bay and convince us of laws they want us to accept.Because they cannot directly dictate laws and tell us what to do and our Founding Fathers knew well what they were doing when they wrote the 2nd Amendment. Bottom line is some of us would rather die trying to defend ourselves against a very powerful corrupted government than to have a defeatist attitude and surrender our rights.

@Miracleman Um, pretty sure we GOT our freedom and our independence from the use of guns and armed forces during the revolution. Guns are what got us our freedom to begin with so you're welcome. And for the record you do not go to jail for shooting someone who was trespassing YOUR own property. And say what you will but I'd rather go to to jail if it meant that I have killed the burglar that was just about to steal from my house and DEFENDED my family that was just about to get raped and killed by said burglar. And like you said "criminals WILL still continue to buy guns if we were to outlaw them." meaning the ONLY people with guns will be those murderers that want to harm and take advantage of innocent people.So how is that "a good goddamn thing"? I'm all for regulations or stricter laws but let's be clear MAKING SOMETHING ILLEGAL NEVER MAKES THINGS BETTER OR LESS DANGEROUS. And that's a proven fact. people that want it will get it no matter what.

Um, pretty sure you CAN have freedom without guns. Guns and the ability to defend yourself are not synonymous. Nothing good has ever come of anyone owning gun, not once. Burglar breaks into your house, you shoot him? Congratulations, you got manslaughter charges on your hands. Guy tried to mug you on the streets, you pull a gun and pop one in his head? Murder in the first. Pop one in his knee? Assault if you're lucky, attempted murder if not. Is that f*cked up that our precious judiciary system works that way? Yeah. But that shit wouldn't happen if people couldn't buy guns. There is no plausible to reason to have them, not a one. And yeah, criminals WILL still continue to buy guns if we were to outlaw them. But you know what? Making them illegal will SIGNIFICANTLY decrease their quantity, and probably quality. And less guns will probably equal less people being able to walk into a classroom full of children and pick them off one by one. Which, in my mind, is a good goddamn thing.

Trust me, your handguns are not going to protect you from a corrupt government.  That is a weak excuse for those who think they are patriots, it is the reasoning of a man who wants to fool himself into feeling like he is in control.  If government wants to own you and subdue it's populus then it will.  Look at how many counties in the world do not have gun laws like the U.S, are they are servents, and slaves to their government... NO.  If you are so afraid of you government then put your money where your mouth is, use that gun if you truly think your freedom is under attack.  Wait... your not going to because your afraid you will go to jail, or get shot back by soldiers of the government?  That's right, now talk about your guns and your freedom but KNOW you are just fooling yourself. 

That said, gun control or no gun control, men with evil intentions will always do evil, criminals don't care about gun control because they didn't get their gun's legally to begin with.  Now some gun control makes sense, sure it won't protect you from the criminals and the truely wicked, but it would stop 18 year olds from going into their fathers basement or people ordering guns online to go shoot up public places.

As with all things there is a better way of doing things that lays somewhere in the middle.  As for "You can take my gun when you pull it from my cold dead hands"  I find that acceptable, I will gladly be the one to do it.

You can bypass background checks? That's crazy..I had no Idea. unfit people should NOT have guns but the point of this picture is to show a stand against those that seek to take guns away from US citizens completely. Because you cant have freedom without being able to defend yourself against those that do have guns Like criminals and corrupt government. Otherwise this would be a totalitarian State already. They only attack gun free zones and takinggunswaya wont fix anything and will make things worse. the 2nd Amendment was put there for a reason.
