R.I.P George, the last of his kind (if not a significant lost)
The last living Galapagos subspecies pinta tortoises passed away today. "Lonesome George" lived to be at a whopping 100 years of age. They are now (supposedly) extinct...
However, it has come to my attention that these turtles may not be fully extinct but severally hindered and on the brink of extinction as @Palpstopher Walken was explaining to me. Sadly, I've accidentally deleted his comment due to the comment while reading it due to it being too easy to erase comments(doesn't even asks if you are sure or not).
However, as far as we know, they are sadly gone.
