Ladies and gentlemen, I give you… "Marvel Head."

This was a project I did for my art class, where we had to do two different self-portraits. One’s just a portrait of ourselves, and the other’s an imaginary portrait, where we take a bunch of stuff and we make it into a face. In this imaginary portrait, I decided to do mine on comic book characters from the Marvel universe. I’ve chosen that brand, because there were a lot of characters to work with, including Medusa for the hair, the Ultron clones for the teeth, along with Dr. Strange sending them through a portal as a mouth, and so forth. It was a very big picture (16x19 in.), so I had to scan it four times on my little scanner (9x11 in.), then touch it up a little in Photoshop. Apologies if your favorite Marvel character’s not in there. I could’ve included more, but I either didn’t have room for others before completion, had placement conflicts ("Who should I put behind this person?"), or it just never came to mind. Any ways, hope you folks enjoy it as much as I did drawing it.
