Comment by Joe on November 29, 2012 at 3:42pm I would like to point out that I do not defend the actions of Gaza militants, but this does not excuse the barbaric behaviour of Israel.
Comment by Charles Rocchi on November 20, 2012 at 12:16am The deaths suck, but what do you expect was gonna happen? Hamas purposefully launches rockets from civilian areas knowing full well that Israel can either a) do nothing and incur losses themselves, appearing as incompetent/weak or b) fire back and risk having casualties, making them look like dicks. You'd be a fool to not recognize that both parties have blood on their hands, especially the Hamas and their disregard for their fellow man.
Comment by Michael on November 19, 2012 at 9:13am Fuck hamas and the government of Israel.
Comment by MDS on November 19, 2012 at 4:53am Is it sad that children have died? Yes, it is sad.
Of course, it's not nearly as sad as the fact that Hamas is hidden their rockets (Which have launched HUNDREDS of rockets into Israel) in "civilian population areas". It's even sadder that Hamas is trying to claim the "moral superiority" in the situation because of killed children, and yet THEY are the ones that are continuing to fire wave after wave of rockets into Isreal's civilian population by targeting their most "populated cities"....
So stop trying to place the blame solely on Isreal which has defended itself from an outside attack and ask the real question...... If Hamas is so concerned and worried about the possibility of civilians and children dieing, then WHY haven't they stopped firing rockets into Israel (Knowing they are going to defend themselves and retaliate)?
As sad as as it is that children have died, Israel still holds the moral high-ground because they are defending themself against ATTACK. So, take your whole "blame Israel" concept, fold it into sharp corners and shove it up your ass. Place the blame on the people that started the whole mess and accept the fact that Hamas has officially declared war on Israel by firing rockets into Israeli cities. If Israel decides to open fire and bomb Hamas controlled areas into glass, I wouldn't shed on single tear because I see it as something that Hamas brought it on their own head by starting it in the first place..... (Of course "started it" meaning this current round of conflicts by launching rockets for over a YEAR now)
Comment by The One They Called Chucky on November 19, 2012 at 2:49am Um, yeah, I call this Collateral Damage. It is what happens when war happens around children.
How'd this start? Israeli Mossad assassinated the head of Hamas terrorist operations in Israel. Hamas retaliated by launching rockets into Israel, specifically the area around Tel Aviv. Many on both sides have already been killed. And not just Military. Just Friday, the CBS Evening News reported on the massacre of at least 3 families at an apartment complex in Tel Aviv, at least 6 of the dead children (I think it was said there were 14 dead in all). All Israeli. Now, from what's being said on the ground, Israel is acting in defense with Operation Iron Dome, and is only launching air strikes against the buildings where rockets are coming from (Hamas on the other hand are acting like terrorists and just firing at will toward Tel Aviv and Jerusalem). This leads to something interesting... Israel isn't specifically bombing children (as Joe implies). This leads to something else interesting- why in the hell are children being allowed in Missile launch sites? That just sounds like bad parenting/guardianship, even if they're not specifically your kids.
Regardless, as C.H. Gorog points out, it doesn't excuse the death of civilians (children included) and you're blind if you think one party over the other is responsible for the violence perpetrated in the area.

Comment by C.H. Gorog on November 19, 2012 at 1:51am Yep. This is why I came onto a movie review website - to see political affairs.
@Joe - No, of course it doesn't make it okay to bomb children, but you're blind if you don't think both parties are equally responsible for the violence perpetuated in that area. Israel and Palestine could take lessons from children and learn how to fucking share and act civil.
Nick
Ever wonder WHY Hamas would try to rocket them in the first place? It's a nasty civil war between them. Both sides have spilled innocent blood, but you have a country's military force responding with brute force instead of investigative enforcement. Let's not waste any time figuring out exactly who was responsible for the firing rockets -- let's just bomb a "location believed to house Hamas terrorists". That'll show 'em!
Comment by Joe on November 18, 2012 at 9:11pm Nick, so this makes it ok to bomb children?
Comment by Nick Kroboth (Herr Daimyo) on November 18, 2012 at 8:56pm Nevermind that the recent rocket exchanges were started by Hamas.....
