Personally, I don't see what's so bad about Nolan's fanbase. There are rabid, irritating fans for just about everything, who will praise a director or writer no matter what he does. It's just blind fanboys that you hate. Look at Quentin Tarantino, George Lucas, or Joss Whedon for example. Some people go absolutely insane over everything that they do. The only difference is, Nolan is more popular right now. Why are people "idiot geeks" for enjoying something?

I'll probably be the only person to say this, but I don't think TDK is the best superhero film, let alone best comic book film, ever made and I think the only reason most people care about it at all is because of Heath Ledger.

I don't care much for the guys recent film and I've never seen his older stuff (before Batman Begins), so I'm more or less indifferent to him. I fucking hate his fanboys though.

Nolan's a terrific director one of the best but he's not god. Let's look at Inception. I think it's a very good movie but when you really examine it you find that it really isn't saying anything and doesn't deserve all the complements of how intelligent it is.

Nolan is, to me, one of the best directors of this generation and I'm greatly anticipating TDKR. That being said, his fanbase is pretty terrible and they make me want to jam forks into my eyes.

Oh, the labyrinth that is IMDB. Such a terrifying place.
