i've had this idea for a while- three interweaving storylines: 1 about a whaler in 1870, another one about a pro whale activist in the 1990's, the last one is about a scientist on a futuristic sub taking care of the last whale while its dying

On the topic of writing. Check out the 1998 comedy movie, Funny Farm, starring Chevy Chase it's a comedy about a sports writer who does the cliche writer thing and goes to the country to write a novel.

Maybe the government finally got around to passing Propitiation 99 that I sent to them in the third grade, asking them to make the act of Clown-ification, illegal an punishable by death.
