I have started a new writers group on Spill. It seems to me this one is all but dead, with it's leader not even on this site now.

And I think to see a great creative group like this to come to a halt is a real shame. There is some really good writers on this site and I want to see that talent on display.

So please join my new writing group and show of your work. Discuss writing and also maybe tell us of books you yourself reading.

This is an episodic story I am working for a group I co run on Spill. Thought I'd share here and see how it goes down. As a writer who would love to go pro, any feed back from people here who are in the same about as myself.

This is chapter 1 of Issue 2. Still Gone.

I'll probably put these videos in my blog so I don't crowd the comments page.

If anyone is interested, I wrote a novella while in undergrad that was published by my college. It's a story about a small town on the American frontier in 1862 and the guerilla warfare that occured in that region of the country as part of the American Civil War.

I've posted some advice on how to turn your written work into illustrated comics.

As far as writer's block goes, remember this, you can always change plot. Plot is very malleable. A character and his decisions will seem forced in a hyper plot-drivin story. Many more people will find a complex character more interesting than a complex plot. Think of what your character would do from this point in the story. If you can't answer this than you probably have not fleshed out your character enough.
