I just would like to hear from new and old members what were your reasons for joining Spill and what have been your best accomplishments here on Spill if any.
Mine has been getting more of an education on films and actors.
if anyones story sounds like yours, please tell us anyways.
Get involved and share your experience with us! :)
I joined so I could comment on the reviews, as well as post with some of the smarter people on here, i.e. the people who don't treat this like it's friggin Myspace. There are a few older smarter bunches of people on here, and the social aspect among this intellectual tier I've found to be very rewarding.
I happened to catch a review on youtube.com (for Fired Up) and I thought it was funny. So I decided to check out spill.com, where I noticed it had some interesting stuff (such as the podcasts). After a while of checking out the stuff on spill I decided to just sign up and start participating in stuff. And so far I noticed most of the people are nice and actually share their opinions about stuff they care about (which today is kinda rare I admit). But beyond that I haven't regretted it yet, nor will I probably ever.
i like movies but i´m not taht good whit names of actors or the crew who works in but here i get to now more abut it and for be the only comunity is awesome how many friends i make groups and new stuff about the thinks i like i learn here..........xD
Well my bro (Trex) showed me some reviews and I liked the style. I than looked at all the variety Spill has to offer. I also vary much appreciate the "one of us attitude" instead of arrogance or elitist attitude. The information you learn from Spill is cool. Also, the respect for different opinions is cool. What also is great is just listening to bullshitting around after a long hard day.
I was on Youtube when I came across this video called Racist cartoons and it had Korey doing an interview with Elmo. The video was pretty funny, so I clicked on the Spill page and saw some of the reviews, checked out the website, and yeah, there we go.
i joined this site because i love to hear the reviews everyone (not just the spill guys) put up, and well i love movies, i love to watch them, discuss them, and hate on the really bad ones.
well,I was looking for opionions on the dragon ball:evolution movie and I came across one of the user blogs.I think it was called"why the dragon ball movie will actually be good"I can't find it,but it was very profoshionally done, and I thought the guy was a writer or something. But anyway,I went to the home page and I saw a review for a movie that I wanted to see(i can't remember what it was).I remember laughing my butt off.I just wached the video's for a while, but then "I tried lets do this!".I was only going to watch the first 5 minutes, but two hours later I was sad to see it end.
I joined so that I could write a question to LTD!(I'll hear from them someday),and I wrote two blogs, and Im getting around to writing my third one.All in all,i've been having a blast on here. Now I gotta go, a couple of cold one's is on.
Just found this site by chance.
In anotther forum, while discussing some movie (months ago), someone posted a link to the Spill's animated movie review. Of course, I laughed my ass off when I saw it. After this, I started watching some movie reviews on the site, then I found out that there were podcasts from Spill on iTunes, which I subscribed (audio and video) and then I just heard the podcasts starting from very far away when there weren't LEOG's and Let's Do This! (aka GET TO THE CHOPPAAAA!!!! aka I'm a Goat and I eat my own milk). After months of hearing the podcasts and Korey and the Co-Host 3000 talking a lot about the community in Let's Do This I decided to join in!
Well before i listened to Lets Do This and A Couple of Cold Ones and they always talked about the community being so great so after about 10 years i joined! I joined a long time ago but i was an inactive member.
Honestly, I was recearching racist cartoons and found a review with Korey getting cussed out by elmo. I followed the link to spill.com with no knowledge of what this site was. After watching a few movie reviews I fell in love with the spill.com
i joined spill because my friend showed me the reviews on youtube and i knew i found my favorite critics and fellow movie lovers, and watched more and more of their reviews, manly movies i liked, and i saw that these guys know what they are talking about. if given a chance to meet these guys in person would be time and money well spent. so i joined the spill community and here i am, listening to the podcasts and gaining knowledge i never knew was there about movies.
