As a fan of Doom, I don't really have a favorite but I have many of his albums where he's changesd his name from MF Doom to King Geetorah to Viktor Vaughn. My choice would be his latest one, "Born Like This" because that one marked his return after spending a few years off record and making cameos on other record projects. The album has a few productions from Dilla and Madlib alongside Doom himself, plus features for a line of legendary artists like Wu Tang Clan's Ghostface and Raekwon; Freddie Foxxx, and Slug from Atmosphere who spit verses to help make the album worth the time to listen to. The productions are dense and dark as usual, but Doom's unrelenting lyrical flow shows that he still can't torture his internal rhymes any more without just repeating himself "how now brown cow" for 4 minutes minutes on end. Even more unfortunately, the best production by Doom is the homophobic "Batty Boyz," and Ghostface, on his lone feature, does little more than obsess over Charlie's Angels, where the beat was reworked a little bit with added sounds compared to the original that came out years before the album's release. "Chinatown Wars," which was another contemporary collaboration between the two MCs is tragically nowhere to be heard in the album. There were minor disappointments but overall, Doom shows that he's still relevant to Hip-Hop and has a whole lot more to offer to the listeners of his work.
