Okay, I am aware of two things.
1) I should probably quit making discussions
and 2) This show doesn't premiere until next spring.
However, being almost done with the first book, I got really hyped up, and I'm really looking forward to this show starting up.

Cast:
Mark Addy as King Robert Baratheon
Alfie Allen as Theon Greyjoy
Sean Bean as Eddard "Ned" Stark
Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Ser Jaime Lannister
Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister
Michelle Fairley as Catelyn Stark
Aidan Gillen as Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish
Jack Gleeson as Joffrey Baratheon
Iain Glen as Ser Jorah Mormont
Kit Harington as Jon Snow
Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister
Isaac Hempstead-Wright as Bran Stark
Harry Lloyd as Viserys Targaryen
Richard Madden as Robb Stark
Rory McCann as Sandor "The Hound" Clegane
Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark
Maisie Williams as Arya Stark

The show will follow the plot of George RR Martin's Fantasy Series: A Song of Ice and Fire. The books are A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, and the upcoming A Dance with Dragons.

The television series is expected to follow the multiple storylines of the A Song of Ice and Fire series of novels closely, and author Martin has stated that the pilot script was very faithful to his work. Set in Westeros where "summers span decades and winters can last a lifetime," Game of Thrones chronicles the violent dynastic struggles among noble families for control of the Iron Throne.

The series premiers next Spring on HBO.

There is only one thing that the pilot was missing to me. "Hodor!"
Episode 2-"Kingsroad" is awesome!

Wow, after hearing some of the complaints on this week's LEOG about this show, I'm beginning to see a few possible flaws. I still love the show, but some of the dialog and acting of the side characters aren't that good. I didn't like Measter Aemon, Littlefinger, and Dany's attendant. I wish that Dany and the Dothraki had gotten more screentime. I hope the series kicks into high gear soon, and gets rolling a little faster. To me it feels like its still kind of spinning its wheels. I'll repeat, I still like the show, but its starting to feel a little slow to me. But I did like the way they showed Syrio at the end. But I didn't think that was a good place to end the episode.

SPOILERS FROM THE BOOKS AHEAD!

For people who have read the books, SPOILERS if you haven't, you've been warned: Do you guys think that they'll kill Ned? Since they gave Sean Beam top billing, do you think that they'll kill the supposed main star, and depart from the books?

I enjoyed the first two episodes. I'm mixed on this last episode, but I can understand the slow pacing of the show as a turn off for some people. I'm expecting the show to pickup it's pace soon. Hopefully my expectations aren't let down.
If anybody's interested, I've made a blog post sorta recaping the last episode and giving my thoughts on the episode and series so far. Check it out here: Game of Thrones - "Lord Snow" Recap
Has anyone else watched next week's episode on HBO Go? Shits going down now!
Goddamn! What a way to kill Viserys Targaryan.
I watched next weeks episode today.  They expect me to pay attention to whatever Petyr was saying when the hos were doing what they were doing?

Was Charles Dance skinning a dead Stag in Episode 7? Looked so real. Respect to the make up department.

Yeah he was. And the stag is the symbol of House Baratheon. I kind of like the symbolism there.

First episode spoilers ahead....

I can't even get through the first episode of this show. I tried, but the death of the kid at the end was just so infuriating it made me feel sick. I think it was just how coldly the guy did it, it just made me so angry and upset I can't keep going from there.

The story is slow moving, but it picks up as the series moves on. Episodes Six and Seven were amazing and the previews for episode eight look great. I don't want to spoil you, but I suggest you keep watching. You never did see a dead body after all.
