I'm gonna start renting the second season tomorrow. Loved the first one, hope season 2 doesn't disappoint.
Alright just finished season 2 and have a couple of questions: (major spoilers)
- So does the alternate Olivia part of Cortexiphan trials as well? Then needed her to open a crack in the universe in order to get back. And how did they do these trials without Bell, he seemed pivotal in the experiment in our universe.
- Is Waternate really a bad guy? He seems to be on the better side in this case. Yes he's trying to destroy our universe, but that's only because Walter fucked up his. I'm loving all the gray areas.
Well, Walternate's waging a war no one else wants to be a part of, and no one else is fighting. He's what our Walter would have become if he had kept crossing the line, and losing his humanity. Yes, Walter screwed up, but does that warrant the destruction of the other would? And honestly, would that fix anything? It seems to me it would probably cause a universal imbalance since the two worlds are more than likely dependent on one another.
See I am under the impression that the two worlds now are overlapping and the only way to save the alternate world woudl be to destroy ours. That has been hinted by the quaranteen zones in the alternate world but has never been out and out said. So there is a chance that he is doing it because of spite alone, though I like to think that Walternate is doidn ti to try to save his world.
The actor is definitely portraying him as sinister, though. And they never said WHY they're quarantining. They seem to just quarantine anywhere that can be used to travel in-between dimensions, and that's the only difference. We've seen the normal world has the same hotspots, they're just not quarantining them like the alternate dimension is. It only LOOKS worse because Walternate is making worse by claiming the other dimension is warring with them. There's been no evidence that their world is falling apart due to anything but their own actions.

I like the little fun hints in there. Reminds me of the LOST promos
Damn wish it was a 2 hour season premiere!!Nevertheless a good opening to what should be a tense season. Happy to see Andre Royo join the show.
I think that was there best season premiere. I loved it. You can tell there starting to focus in on an ongoing story more than just going with the monster of the week thing they had going back in season one and parts of season two. I think that's a good thing.
Ep.1

Olivia

Boo!! Hulu can't be seen in Australia :( Someone tell me what I'm missing?
For anyone who hasn't been watching this religiously since it began and wants a quick catch up, io9 has this pretty good list of eps to watch to catch up:

Yep I agree with all those episodes. The Arrival is still my all time favourite episode. It's funny that season 1 episode 4 was also Walkabout episode in Lost ;)
