Dexter {SPOILERS}

Just finished season 4, and just when I thought nothing could compare to season 1, they come at me with that ending.  This show is addicting, and it's interesting to see the evolution of the Dexter character.

 

So who here is a fan?

 

Has anyone here read the dexter novels?  Are they a worthwhile endeavor?

Never read the novels, but huge fan of the show and can't wait to see how they play out Season 5, especially since this'll be the first season, to my recollection anyway, that picks up directly where the last one left off. Seasons 2-4 at least had some months pass between the previous season, but here, they pretty much have to address Rita's death.

Watch, I bet they still skip to a few months ahead, and just talk about how everyone is dealing with the aftermath.. (^_^)

Likewise. The fourth season's ending was shocking. They usually always ended with closure, but happy closure. Rita's death was a total stunner. I'm really looking forward to how Dexter deals with everything particularly Quinn probably playing the role that Doakes once took on.

Really somber season premiere. Was kind of an episode of reflection.
