I haven't seen "Battlefield Earth". Too afraid. Though 'worst sci-fi movie' is a little vague. Since there are many B and Z grade sci-fi's that are beyond bad..such as, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians or Plan 9 From Outer Space. If you mean only A grade movies then, that makes it a little harder. Time cop comes to mind...let me think about this.

Hah, the worst is Laser Blast circa 1978. I mean, that movie is pretty atrocious. Laserblast is a low-budget 1978 science fiction film. It stars Kim Milford as "Billy Duncan" and Cheryl Smith as "Kathy Farley", and is notable for Eddie Deezen's debut...

Ah, Laser Blast. I saw that at the drive-in as a kid. Any movie featured on MST3K goes on this list.

The Garbage Pail Kids Movie, Howerd the Duck, Alone in the Dark
One of the three has to be the worst sci-fi movie I every seen...I feel like I'm forgeting a movie or two, oh hell so many to pick from it isn't even funny.
