Now here's an example of a game that is not underrated: Half-life 2.
I'm talking about games that didn't garner Halo 3 financial numbers or Portal critical acclaim.
For me, it would have to Star Wars: Republic Commando. The squad controls were perfect and the story didn't dissapoint (unlike the Star Wars Prequels); the game to me was terrific, even though the multiplayer was a basket of feces.

But often times he's correct(yes I know, blah blah opinions n all that, just making a point). He is easily my favorite reviewer because he calls out all these Triple A 9/10 generic FPS(or otherwise) games on being the regurgitated bullshit that they really are.
That said, I agree Republic Commando is underrated. If they had just put more time into the multiplayer, I think it would have been recognized a little more.
Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter for the PS1 and original Xbox. When it came out it was liked but I love it. Is not the greatest game ever made but it was exciting, the gameplay was good, the difficulty curve was worth a mention and it was a good long game!
Gun didn't get the respect it deserved. I never knew i wanted 2 be a cowboy so much til i played this on my ps2. I wish they would announce a sequel & put some marketing behind it nxt time. Brilliant game.
