A close second is Battlefield 2, its not my favourite game but its my favourite online game, so much so that I had a go at making a montage, fast tunes and headshot very original :)

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. It has an excellent story, excellent characters, ties up loose ends in the series, and excellent graphics.

Uncharted 2:Among Thieves. It's action packed, it's got gorgeous graphics, an intriguing storyline and superb voice acting.
