If it's crap... We'll tell you

This game is sold over the PSN is an online store which enables users to download trailers, demos and actual games. There are many whole games which are sold on this store which can not be bought on disk such as:

- Super Stardust HD
- PixelJunk Eden
- FlOw
- Bionic Commando Rearmed
- Echochrome
- Everyday Shooter
- Mega Man 9
- Super Rub 'a' Dub
- PixelJunk Monsters

And now the most anticipated PSN title of the year 'Wipeout HD' is finally here.

This game offers so much for so little, with features such as:

- 16 tracks
- 10 vehicles
- 10 weapons
- 4 different skins for every vehicle to be unlocked
- 8 player online
- 8 campaign levels to unlock in the single player (this has 89 Gold medals to unlock)
- 2 player split screen
- 5 different modes
- 4 racing speeds
- 3 difficulty settings
- 3 different HUD's to choose from (showing health and weapons available)
- Sixaxis motion control & dualshock 3 compatibility (DS3 is very useful to know when your not at the right pitch)
- In game photo mode
- Control mapping to your choice
- In game personal music from HDD
- Online mic support
- Auto assistance (keeps players new to the series from bashing into walls- a great help)
- 38 trophies
- Records of lap times can be compared world wide easily between your friends or the fastest in the world

ALL THIS FOR JUST £11.99 / $19.99
Even better news is that the file takes up 900 MB of space

Zones is one of the 5 modes available on the game and it is by far the best. This mode was why the game was delayed for so long seeing as it failed the epilepsy test. As you race on an infinity number of laps the speed increases every 10 seconds starting with Sub-venom which by zones 50 goes into super sonic. as you get faster the harder it becomes to control your vehicle as it goes round corners. Once the vehicle has not health (measured as a percentage on the game) then the game is over. There are two really get things about this mode which are:

- The music you are listening to is projected onto the signs around the course and even onto the track you are racing on. This is most fascinating as you can see the beats projected as flashing lights and other effects normally found in windows media player when looking at "now playing".

- The other interesting idea is that when you become faster every 10 seconds the entire tracks and the surrounding areas change colour. Meaning that in one moment the track and the environment could be purple and the next be a rich orange and gold colour. When this flash of new colour passes you as your racing it is really mesmerizing to look at.

The other really amazing feature is the in game photo mode which allows you to take pictures in the action and save it to your HDD. These pictures can then be placed as your background on your desk top of your PS3 or even your PC. This picture can then be shared with friends and is a really good extra which is very addicting trying to find the right shot. There are many tools which you can use to get the shot you want such as ‘Speed blur’ blow is a picture that I have personally taken.

Over all I believe that this game is the best on the best PSN game made to date and is tremendous value for money. This game is actually better than some £40 / $60 games this is worthy of a 95% rating. This game makes you feel like you have bought a full game with the amount of features it offers. I would recommend this to anyone who has online for their PS3. with the auto assistance this game is ideal for those who have already played the series and are new. The amount of veriety in all the courses is enough to keep you busy for hours (already spent 17 on it since its launch last week). With already 126,000 players online is always a fun experience.

Ill meet you online…
