While there is no way currently to technically set the limit, the Lounge is for posting of information by the LEOG crew and where appropriate inside of a pre-existing post, questions for us.

If you have a question you want answered on a LEOG podcast, there's only one way that we give it the time of day, and that's to post it in the appropriate "Questions For" forum post when it goes up (almost always by Leon). I realize there's not always a current "Questions For" post up (so we don't have to sort through 1500 questions when the time comes) but you can be patient.

Any questions sent to us through 'send message' or in any other place will be ignored.

If you have a general question you want answered without worrying about it being in the podcast, put it on the comment wall or (more likely to get answered) on our FAQ pages.

RIP Dial H and Demon Knights...two outstanding titles.

Pretty much the writing was on the wall that WB is looking over the shoulder of the editors, chief creative officers. The word is cancel if it doesn't sell.

So does this mean the New 52 will eventually become 52 books about Batman? Dunno.

Reminds me a lot of when Marvel was re-organizing itself when it came out of Bankruptcy in 1998 and then again when it was bought by Disney.

What you are going to see is A LOT of constant re-booting because kids today only have the attention span to collect 4-5 issues then drop. For whatever reason kids love that #1...and will forfeit continuity.

I think I came in on Uncanny X-men at #156 then hunted shop by shope and back tracked all the way to #50...keep in mind this predates the Internet and Wikipedia. That's not going to happen for my kid. She's like I want it NOW or I am onto something else. So business changes as a result...these times are a changing.

During the Jenna-Louise Coleman podcast on the Nerdist, thought it was interesting when Matt Smith was blown away showing up for the season premiere in NYC and seeing block after block of people sleeping out on the streets waiting to see the premiere in a movie theater two weeks ahead of time. Pretty much Smith articulated, Doctor Who does not have that kind of rabid following in the UK. Recently Ophelia Black had a similar premiere at Sunshine Landmark Theater off Houston. BBC America is loving the American market right now.

I love BBC shows but for me, it's Still it's not on the same level as Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, the Wire, LOST, Hannibal, and countless American shows.

Less Doctor Who, more Torchwood perhaps?

Comment by Seeker on Tuesday

I don't get a Doctor Who vibe from SHIELD. Maybe in that it's a show catered specifically to geeks on network TV, but nothing I've seen stylistically or heard about in terms of story reminds me of Doctor Who.

As much as I like J August Richards, I don't think he'd be a good Luke Cage. Too slim, lithe. Not huge and imposing.

Nightmare in Silver wasn't a great episode of Doctor Who, but it's one of the best from this half season, which I think has been pretty weak. Wasn't wowed by the Rings of Akhaten, and The Cold War was just a whimper. I hope that "The Name of the Doctor" is just a name and that Moffat doesn't actually tell us his name. To misquote David Tennant's last line, "I don't wanna know."

Loving Francavilla's Black Beetle. In terms of a cartoonist, Francavilla is showing chops up there with Darwyn Cooke, at least to me. They're two of the best guys doing crime comics right now, with Brubaker completing the triad.

Just talking about old comics since I haven't had a chance to get on here in a while (College. I made a feature film. Stuff like that.), Liking Lemire's Green Arrow, but it's not at all the crime book he promised back in December. It and Wonder Woman are the only two DC books I'm still picking up.
Still like Captain America, but I'm not exactly sure if it's because I like the character or if it's because I like the book. Last issue definitely had a moment towards the end that put me off. I know it's a red herring and it's kind of insulting to think that anyone with even a small understanding of Cap would fall for that cheap cliffhanger.
I'll probably post on here more now that summer is upon us.

How is SHIELD America's answer to Doctor Who? I thought Quantum leap was closer.

More like America's answer to Queen & Country TV series before Ruck revived it.
Comment by C.H. Gorog on Tuesday

@Christopher - Here's wishing the best of health to your Dad.

I think it looks very promising.  It could be America's answer to Doctor Who, if they do it right.  I'm curious as to how they'll answer Coulson's return.  Whether it be a life-model decoy, a clone, the actual Coulson, or if the show takes place before The Avengers.  I'm digging that it looks to be going for a more action oriented (Buffy, Firefly, Supernatural) deal.  I'm hopeful since Whedon is helping the project, but I'll wait until I see more.

Man, that's a scare Christopher. Hope your dad has cleared the hurdles.

Yea. Turning off my Cyber logic mind, I was able to enjoy it for what it was. Most wordy chess match ever. Wonder how much of that was Gaiman or Smith's delivery that got a little retarded with Clara's winner of the genetic lottery, do I look pretty? Segment. A bit overplayed. Nice seeing Willow.

Agents of SHIELD...definitely watch it. Just not enough to give an opinion.

Btw, just wanted to let y'all know, i really appreciate the discussions that goes on here because it feels like most of Spill's comment sections are going to shit (sorry :\, just look at the acoco one, jeez)

Anyway, back to the matters at hand..

Comment by Diogo Menezes on Monday

This week's trailer really built up my anticipation for the show (especially if J. August Richards turns out to be Rage or Luke Cage). My main fear was that this was going to be a CSI/NCIS-type show set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As long as the show manages to distinguish itself from these types of shows by making the most of the potential inherent to the Marvel Universe characters, I'm sure it will be a great show.

Comment by Christopher on Monday

oh oh oh while I'm here! Any thoughts from the Lounge on the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. show?  I have a twitter account, but don't use it so I'll hashtag this post with #coulsonlives
