We all know the classic Myths of antiquity like that of the Greeks or Egyptians and their effect on modern culture (comics, movies etc.).
But what modern Mythos do you think has had a big impact? Personally I think the Cthulhu Mythos has had a huge impact on Horror for example.
As Ever Long Live The League.

Hello, Lady and Gentlemen of the League.
I was raised Catholic, but as I grew up, I realized it was... well... wasn't for me. I went out of my way to learn as much as I could about all the religions out there. In the end, I pretty much settled on the fact that I have far more important things to worry about in my day-to-day, like if I'll have enough to pay my phone bill and get gas, then what'll happen to my soul after I die. What I discovered was that I found the mythological tales of Greek and Norse and even Japanese history to be far more interesting and entertaining, and surprisingly consisting of all the same messages as the Christian beliefs. I sort of wished that gods existed on how many people believed in them (something like Fables or how Tiny Toons determined the power and youth of the Looney Tunes). So, if you guys could choose a set of gods and goddesses to exist and run around like they did in the mythological past, which would you choose? And how social would you like them to be?
Thanks for all the entertainment you guys bring us. You keep putting it out there, and we'll all keep coming back for more.
Long Live... ah, you know.

Long time listener, first time poster.
What makes a god a 'god'? Power, renown, popularity, faith, etc.?
Thank you and LONG LIVE THE LEAGUE.

What do you like better in your (comics,TV, Movie); a strong inventive original mythology or an already established one or even the mix of the two like Marvel's Thor.
Also who's mythological origins do you think fits better in their greater comic Universe: Wonder Woman in DC or Thor in Marvel.

What is your favourite use of mythology in video games? Mine would be Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, and (my guilty pleasure) the Dynasty Warriors series.
Dear League
Of the seven endless, Destiny, Death, Desire, Dream, Despair, Dellirium, and Destruction, form Neil Gaiman's The Sandman, Which would you want to be?
Permalink Reply by Angel on May 12, 2011 at 6:09pm Dearest Gods of the LEOG,
In today's media, we have many references to Mythology. My question is what id your favorite reference?
For example, in the TV show Arthur there is an episode where the character DW tells her version of the Odyssey.
Thanks for your time and long live the league.
