He heard about how all you kids are into something called "The Hunger Games" and we knew we had to a show all about that.
After all, there's nothing we like better than eating and playing games and...
Oh, hold on. I'm totally thinking of the wrong thing, here. Wait, I think this the right one:
Alright! It says this one is all about...teenagers killing little kids...uh, yikes.
Fine. Whatever, We'll talk about this Hunger Games, butt all of you foodies and gaming nerds we'll be in on the conversation, too. Chime in with your best food/ games/ Hunger Games- related questions.

Permalink Reply by Choker on March 28, 2012 at 9:02pm Dear League, the recent success of the Hunger Games people have been coming out the woodwork and calling it a Battle Royale rip off, I'm usually not one to get mad but this did it, the members willingness to jump on the film and shout "ripoff" is embarrassing since they haven't read the book itself. So my question to you is: Has there ever been a moment where you felt movie fans were too far up their ass?

On a bit of a tangent, I hope you guys will talk about Cat and Harris's cameo on the Nerdist this week. It would be so awesome to hear if Cat was able to get Chris to guest star on LEOG in the near future.
Anyways, love the show.

how long do you believe you would last as katniss in the games. also in the movie/book the cornucopia is in the middle of their platforms and usually opens the games with a slaughter, knowing that your bow and arrow were there - your best chance at survival - would you a) go for it or b) run weeping into the woods in a serpentine. SERPENTINE BABOU!!! (Archer reference)
thanks and long feed the league

I have heard that Austin is a big place for foodies so I have a Hunger Game-y question for you guys. Imagine having a pub crawl-like tour of Austin's restaurants for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner called "Hungry Games." If money was no object, what places would you pick for your Hungry Games?
If my question doesn't get answered, is it okay to at least get an old fashioned LEOG birthday shout out for my 25th birthday, which is this Saturday (March 31st)?
Permalink Reply by The question ? on March 29, 2012 at 6:35pm Dear league, i'm a new fan of the hunger games, having just read the book and watched the film, which i really liked by the way. I wanted to know what the League members (the ones who have read the book) thought of them shortening the games in the film from what i believe to be a couple weeks in the book to a week in the film? And do you guys think it hurt the overall time they could have used to develop relationships that would have eventually lead to more emotionally impacting deaths and near deaths?
Thanks if this gets answered and long live the League.
