This Week the LEOG Get's Into HUNGER and GAMES, at the Same Time!

Never let it be said that the League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen doesn't keep its fingers on the pulse of what's hip with the youth of today. He heard about how all you kids are into something called "The Hunger Games" and we knew we had to a show all about that.

After all, there's nothing  we like better than eating and playing games and...

Oh, hold on. I'm totally thinking of the wrong thing, here. Wait, I think this the right one:

Alright! It says this one is all about...teenagers killing little kids...uh, yikes.

Fine. Whatever, We'll talk about this Hunger Games, butt all of you foodies and gaming nerds we'll be in on the  conversation, too. Chime in with your best food/ games/ Hunger Games- related questions.

LEOG,

Would the LEOG morally approve of a Hunger Games scenario if any of you existed in that society? Or would you rebel and feel compelled to launch some sort of protest?

(mild Mass-Effect 3 Spoiler warning)

Shepard's of the LEOG,

With the disappointing, pseudo-religious "anti-organic murdering AI to prevent possible organic-murdering AI" ending of Mass Effect 3, has anyone in the league whose finished the game thought out a better ending than this shroomed-out bullshit?

Happy ending

Dear League,

I have never seen the Hunger games or Twlight Movies, but I know their power. Passing by a group of High school girls talk with intensities about the major characters in Hungery Games it was surreal to know that was the important topic of the week before I heard the top five.  Question does the Hunger Games fall into the summer Pop corn films like Transformers or Pirates of the Caribbean or Twilight?  Or is it a step above and if so why?

Also Cyrus can you comment on the Mass Effect Ending? if so please do and comment on Possible DLC ending

Love the League and Harry & Kat may the wedding be a wonderful event.

Mike

Munchers of the LEOG (he said with no innuendo),

Being from Texas, you guys probably have a flair for decent barbecue. Since you travel extensively for events and conventions, do you have any favorite places for barbecue outside of Texas? Some big franchise in a city? A lunch counter behind a small town bodega? Anything?

Dear LEOG

I really enjoyed the Hunger Games. However, I constantly hear from people how they changed too much. I read the books and felt the movie was very faithful (good amount of violence etc.). Then I figure out that they are only angry because they left out characters Like Madge. How do I explain to these people that characters have to be cut, and different choices have to be made because it's a movie and not a 400 page book. Keep in mind that I am dealing with people who think that every Harry Potter movie was ruined because they started to wear real clothes instead of wizard robes.
This kind of stuff just drives me nuts.

Long live the League.

So speaking of games, what are your favorite board games?  how many of you prefer or have only heard of the classics like Clue, Monopoly, or Battleship;  Or do you like the "new breed" like Dominion , Pandemic , or Sentinels of the Multiverse?  Or are you perhaps to scared, or sane, to go into Dragon's Lair to try them out?

Dear Leog

What part of the book did you miss most? For me the mutate dogs was given short shrift.

Long live the LEAGUE

Ps favorite hunger games book is the 1st book, second favorite 3rd book and least favorite is the second book

Hey guys, aside from the Hunger Games, what are some of the other best novels set in Dystopian futures? Bonus points if you don't name novels by Orwell or Bradbury.

Dear Leog,

I assume some of you, (Harris, Rubio, Peter) know enough about fighting from personal experience. What was the first fight you remember winning? Mine was when I was in kindergarten and older kids were making fun of me and holding my toys hostage. I tackled the biggest one to the ground and beat his face for about ten seconds before a teacher pulled us apart (I was maybe 50 pounds at the time so I didn't do any real damage to the kid.). This was in a catholic school so there were no real punishments for this, just stand in the corner and feel guilty. Thanks long live the league and may the odds be ever in your favor.
