With the faults of the Hunger Games movie, do any of the LEOG think that Suzanne Collins should solely write the sequels? Or do you think that there are any more changes to the crew to correct the (few, granted, but very strong) faults of the first film.

Dear League,

With The Hunger Games proving it does have the power to make that Twilight/Harry Potter money (and not turn into another Percy Jackson) what franchise or book series do you think has the possibility to be that same type of success? I personally am surprised that the Artemis Fowl books have of yet to get any Hollywood attention. I know stuff like this is impossible to predict, but I like to hear the League's perspective on the issue anyway.

Alright, so let's get right to it -

The rules are this:

1. Construct a group by choosing people that you despise, and arm them with only "one" type of weapon (could be sponge nun-chucks for all I care).

2. Pick a animal and an environment to put your combatants in (Ex: Tigers and the underwater city from Bioshock). Could be herbivores, carnivores, or omnivores - hell it could be killer organic rocks from outer-space.

3. The goal of the game is to make it past these animals and obstacles, and to the finish line. Only one shall make it.

And that's it, so basically what this comes down to is: who in your group do you think will make it?

By the way, if this question/thing doesn't work (which I honestly am anticipating it won't) then what would be your choice weapon in a "Fight-to-the-Death" type scenario?

Dear LEOG,

Upon attending a screening of The Hunger Games this past week, I was surprised at the sheer number of middle schoolers in the audience. More over, from what I overhead, there was a modest of intelligible conversation to come from them. However, as I'm sure you've heard, there's been a vocal minority that has been bringing the discussion down. This includes the Team Peeta vs Team Gale trend and a racial impetus about certain characters' portrayal. I know this isn't Let's Do This, but I was just wondering if we could get your thoughts on this fallout.

*Spoilers for The Hunger Games; Book and Movie*

Dear League,

I have not read the book for The Hunger Games, but I went ahead and saw the movie anyways. Although I'm not sure if this was explained and I just wasn't paying attention, the film left me with one question.  What were those dogs at the climax? Were they holograms? Because I suppose it is insinuated that they are because of the forest fire earlier in the film. Or is that just something that goes unexplained?

Dear League,

Given that most of the League has basically, if not verbatim, said "I'd rather die than go camping." It would be boring to ask who would win, my money is on Harris, so I'll ask how would you be eliminated if suicide wasn't an option? Would you die of starvation, killed by the environment (tracker jacker and such), killed by the competition, or a Gamemaker trap?

"Potential Spoiler for the third book, I've made it as vague as I can."

Dear League,

With the first Hunger Games novel being already hard enough to translate into a PG-13 film by getting around certain scenes of violence in the book, do you think it is possible to do the same with the next two books and still maintain a PG-13 rating because the violence gets higher and certainly pertains to key story elements, especially near the end of the third book with a certain parachute scene.

you could easily get away with that scene your talking about.you just have to cut away at the right moment and not show the aftermath

Dear League,

If the LEOG was forced to fight each other in the Hunger Games who would-nah, just kidding. I saw the movie and liked it quite a bit. I've always been interested in stories with dystopian futures, though the only things I've really gotten into so far are Fahrenheit 451 and Kurt Vonnegut's "Harrison Bergeron". What stories of dystopian futures do you think have the grimmest of endings? From what my old roommate had told me, 1984 sounds pretty fucked up.

A food and Gaming LEOG! This is going to be awesome. My food question is: What would be your last meal if you were on death row? My gaming question is: What type of game and setting would you like to see made in the video game industry? I wish that there were more games that take place in outer-space but play like Star Wars Battlefront mixed with Sins of a Solar Empire. A game were you can control an empire to conquer a galaxy and the combat takes place in various settings (soldier on battlefield, piloting a spaceship in a dogfight, piloting a giant space frigate, etc.).
