Now that it's finally aired its mid-season finale, we can finally give you all what you've been asking for: A LEOG dedicated to talking about how much we all love The Walking Dead season t---

--What's that? Oh. Oh!

Um, it turns out there is a certain faction of the League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen (those with their own TV-dedicated podcast who think they know SO much more than the rest of us) who aren't quite so enamored with the show. Well, this ought to lead to some *ahem* lively discussions.

We welcome your questions.

Dear Leog

What Deviations from the comic are you happy with and which ones would you like to kick to the kerb? For me personally it is the inclusion of the stupid love triangle.

Long live the LEAGUE

in my opinion...TWD is getting way far from the comics...im not really sure if thats a good thing...but Id love to see more the dark aspects than the happy moments in the TV series

Dear League

Almost everyone at my work watches "The Walking Dead", but im the only person here who has read the comic. Because of this everyone is telling me its the best damn show they have seen, while i find myself not enjoying it as much. I still like it but im as excited as they are. When i talk to my friends who have read the comic and watch the show we seem to share my same option. So my question is Do you think people who have not read the comic will enjoy this show way more then the people who have, do to the major changes happening? ex. Sophia dead, Shane alive?

Thanks for answering, i love listening to guys at work. Long live the League!

*you guys at work

So far I'm not in love with season 2. I liked episodes 3, 5, and the mid-finale, Dale and Daryl are the best characters, and there are great moments but this season is meh so far. It moves way too slow. Now I love slow paced things. Leads to better build up but there is such a thing as too slow a pacing. I mean when Breaking Bad is at a slow pace at least there is still shit going on. Unlike this season of Walking Dead. The bulk the season was bogged down by the search of the little girl and it became pointless towards the end until it was revealed what really happened to her. Again I like some episodes, few I love, and the finale was great, including the last 10 minutes. I hope the second half gets better and can be a great show again. Also enough of the love triangle!

I now await for the internet to attack me.

WHY YOU SON-OF-A....

Actually I completely agree with everything you said. Well, I may have liked this season even less than you did. There's a good way and a bad way to do "slow" and I believe the Walking Dead did it poorly.

Are there any plot lines that you guys think would not translate well from the comic to the TV series?

Also, do you feel that the show is trying to be too much like the comic in terms of the amount of dialog?                                      The comics, like the show so far, are very dialog heavy. However, since they're comics, you can read them faster and it doesn't feel so tedious. But in a TV series, you end up with about six 1 hour long episodes filled with characters just talking, and zombies maybe once or twice per episode. In my opinion this is a flaw with the creative team trying to make each episode like an issue of a comic. There's nothing wrong with a dialog heavy show, but since nothing was really happening in these episodes, they got to where they felt somewhat tedious.(Sorry for being long winded)                                                                Do you think this is a problem with the creative team on the show, or do you think this could be a result of the budget cuts that AMC put onto the show?

Sorry for the fucked up spacing. The computer I'm on messes stuff like that up.

Hey League,

I just want to ask something short and simple, has there been a show that has had as many, or more,  diverse opinions and controversy as the Walking Dead?

Thanks, and Long Live the League!

T-Dog has a purpose - he tells white boys not to try and hold their gun like a 'gangsta'. Awareness of "white boys trying to act gangsta" is of utmost importance in the zombie apocalypse.

Dear LEOG

For the longest time i wanted to ask you about your thoughts on: will Walking Dead tv show ever have balls to pull off some of the more "shocking" moments from the Comic-book series...and then the last episode happend...and holy fuck was it unexpected and awesome @_@, and it made me to think of how similiar in spirit, but different with story this show is from the source material, and im really curious of which pivotal moments of Walking Dead comic book you think SHOULD be translated to the small screen, and which of them you guys think wouldnt work in a TV-show ?

Long Live the League and keep up the awesomness.

Dear League of Rotting fetid corpses

If you were living in the zombie apocalypse, but also had a superpower, what would... oh shit, just kidding ;-)

Are there any characters in The Walking Dead you feel should be fleshed out more? Or do you wish they would just become zombie fodder?

Long may the undead league feed on the flesh of the masses.
