Cartoon posted a statusThis week the League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen will focus on upcoming movies and brief look back at the films that stood out in 2012, so far.
Sorry we weren't really able to get to the questions last week as I'd hoped, so we still have those to draw from.
...Unless you guys manage ask even more interesting questions this week.

With SHIELD TV show coming out and Arrow on its way what other comic adaptations do you think would do well with a TV format.
Permalink Reply by Composite Who Horrible on September 11, 2012 at 10:05pm Alright League Members,
Have any of you been watching Doctor Who? If so, what do you think of the new season and what do you hope happens.

Now that Breaking Bad is done with it's first mini-season, what did you think of it and what are your predictions for the rest of the series? Can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Quantum of solace's trailer was a great big fat lie. Do you think the Skyfall trailer will be just as big a lie? Also see you around Fantastic Fest.

With "Arrow" coming out soon and Joss Whedon's Shield tv series in development, what comic book group/character would you like to see translated into a live action tv series and why? It can be from the big two, or any other publisher.
Thanks, and Long Live the League.

I want to know what your early impressions on the hobbit are? I am incredibly exited just from the trailer but slightly apprehensive at the idea of it being broken into two or three movies. Also this may seem a bit late but I had a great time seeing you at RTX this summer. It didn't exactly make up for me missing spill.com but I guess it was something. Keep up the great work and long live the league!

I like comic inspired movies as much as the next guy, but I'm really getting tired of it as of late. Marvel I feel is going overboard. I understand that the market demand is there for them to keep making movies, but I'm tired of it. Anyone else feel this way? I miss original films with original ideas.
Permalink Reply by El Pollo Guerrera on September 20, 2012 at 12:26am Dear LEOG, since you didn't do any comic previews last week, I'm guessing it'll be the coming week...
1) Can someone explain Marvel's Point One to me? Is it just a new 'jumping on' point, or are there going to be bigger changes to the Marvel Universe?
2) Your opinion please: should Marvel do a hard reboot, like DC's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" in 1985? Could they? (Originally, I though that the Marvel Ultimate Universe was going to be a reboot that ran 'along side' the original MU, with the occasional cross-over, like a stricter version of Golden Age DC/Sivler Age DC... but it turned into a sort of bridge between the MU and the movie universe...)
3) What is the deal with the Co-Host 3000 showing up with the Hulk? Has anyone found out what's going on?
Thanks, and Long Live The League!

As I'm sure you're aware the new Hobbit trailer was released, while talking about the trailer with my friends, one of them pointed out he was disappointed. He states the mood of the books is going to be lost in the translation to film. To him, the appeal of the books was Bilbo being a homebody while the dwarves were incompetent, often leading to situations that almost gets them killed in a dark adventure. He feels the darkness is being replaced with silly humor, particularly Gollum's portrayal being more goofy, while the dwarves will be made into more badass hero types while the fat one takes all the comedic hits. I'm sure you all are going to discuss the trailer anyway, I just thought I'd throw this in for the hell of it. Thanks!
