Satoshi posted a statusNot really but sorta.
The holidays, Thanksgiving in particular wreaks havoc with everybody's schedule and the League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen is no different. As such, this week's show will be posting a day later than usual and I don't even know when we'll squeeze in time to record next week's show. I figure the safest thing is to solicit questions from you for both show now.
#1: "Brushes With Greatness"
Most of the LEOG got to attend Comic Con for the first time last weekend and we'll get their impressions of the event as well as stories of some of the celebrities with whom they had exchanges while there. Maybe some of the better stories of other celebs they've actually met (Cat!) elsewhere.
#2: "Give the People What They Want"
Y'know what, Kentucky Jeremiah? Just because I gots the Xmas spirit a comin' on me, I'm gonna honor that wish. One more show of 'anything goes'/ 'ask us anything' coming right up. I can't say the show will be completely topicless since it's Thanksgiving and all. I imagine there'll be a slant there. Maybe it'll be a show dedicated to the Native American movies that AVATAR ripped off (Dances With Wolves; Pocahontas;etc)
Just remember to listen to you weekly LEOG whenever you finally wake from your turkey coma.

There's a lot to talk about the midseason hiatus/cancellation of Community and I am wondering how do you feel about it and did you saw that coming? Is there anyone to blame? And why do critically acclaimed network TV never get the best ratings they deserved like Arrested Development?
Kind regards,
PS - SAVE COMMUNITY!!!!
Permalink Reply by Usman on November 18, 2011 at 11:54pm Man, I was the biggest Community fan for the longest time and defended it against all criticism, but lately I've actually come to dislike it quite a bit. I hate how they changed some of the characters completely. Chang used to act like a weirdo, but it was funny and controlled, now he's gone full retard, and as we all know, you NEVER go full retard. Britta used to be the cool chick, but now she's this annoying person that's wrong about everything and tries too hard. Troy used to be the cool jock, but now he's this lame man child. characters shouldn't degrade this rapidly.
I hope they can make Community good again, if they don't, I personally will not shed a tear if it gets cancelled.
Permalink Reply by Neutral3 on November 19, 2011 at 6:11am I can see what you think was wrong about this season of Community and it's the character development. I was really worried when Dan Harmon tend to focus too much on its high-concepted
I agree that Chang turned full retard because I tolerated him from the first season since he is controlled and is a weirdo. But from the second half of the season, you're right. He was out of control from that point.
I'm not quite sure about Britta, but I disagree with Troy. He transformed into a nerd instead because he had been hanging out and living with Abed. At one point in Season 2 he has shown to become mature than the entire group where everybody got drunk at his 21st birthday. And Troy and Abed had been the best part of the show because it showcases a love letter to everything nerdy.
If there was one character that needs more attention, that is Shirley who's so neglected that I'm tired of her religious Christian gags.
Permalink Reply by Usman on November 20, 2011 at 5:56pm I can see that about Troy, I just hate how no one takes him seriously that seems like a complete 180 compared to how he was at the start of the show. Yeah I agree, Troy and Abed are the best part of the show.

I don't know if you guys had already talked about this, but I just recently heard about the finale date for Chuck. How do you guys feel about it ending? Are you guys upset, happy that it's getting an ending, anything else? Let a brotha know.
Thanks as always!

Mostly just due to the upcoming Holiday, I'd love for any member of the League to tell some funny/interesting Thanksgiving related stories. It is a holiday about eating and drinking, and we all know that's the LEOG's favorite pastime.
Long Live the League~! And the Spill TVTropes page is good, just needs more updating.

Since this is a "anything goes" episode, I'm going to ask this because it's two in the morning and I should be animating for my final. Ok, here goes: If any of the League members could gender bend/rule 63 any movie what would it be and why? Personally, my pick would be Inglourious Basterds; mainly because I'd like to see the social constraints of the time period work against the characters, plus I'd like to see some legit female bad-assery (and fantasy Hitler killing)
.

Speaking of comics, why the fuck didn't you guys talk about some of the more underrated books last week ? C'mon, Wolverine and The X-Men but you didn't talk about Thunderbolts ? Or Jeff Parker's Hulk ? What's up with that?
Thanks! and Cat, looking forward to see more "pics" *wink* on the Facebook page.

With Black Friday coming up, what do you guys most look forward to when it comes to deals? Movies? Electronics? Music? What do you love to wait for until it's on sale?
Thanks and Long live the League.
