What are your favorite comics/trades/series so far?
I will probably regurgitate what the other members have mentioned but... Watchmen, The Dark Knight Returns, Maus, Kingdom Come, Marvels, Secret Wars, Red Son, Fables: The Mean Season(in particular) + all of the other Fables, Ex Machina, 100 Bullets, Y: The Last Man, Preacher, Sin City, Batman: The Long Halloween, The Killing Joke, The Ultimates 1 and 2, Bone, Jimmy Corrigan + anything else by Chris Ware, Spiderman: The Other, Deadpool, Millar's Wolverine: Old Man Logan and KICK ASS so far..., and the two issues of The Hulk vs. Wolverine :(

Current shows: Lost, The Office, 30 Rock, The Venture Brothers, Breaking Bad, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Mad Men, Fringe, Dollhouse, Simpsons, 24, Top Chef, Project Runway, Top Design, Flight of the Conchords, Fringe, Heroes (I can't seem to quit!), SNL, Dexter, South Park, Curb Your Enthusiasm, American Idol (sorry :( )
Old Shows I am trying to catch up on: Avatar: The Last Airbender, Rome, Deadwood, Weeds, Battlestar Galactica, Peepshow (reccommended by Travis)

Why does Jason hate you so much?
Jason and I have a rich and complex history that goes way back. We were thick as thieves back in the day. We came up together on the mean streets of Omaha, slingin bootleg comics on the corner and scrappin with the 1337 Street Gamerz, a local gang from the other side of the tracks.
So what happened?!? I'm still not quite sure. I believe it was about 9 years ago in the Summer, a few weeks after I had accidentally burned down his house, that I began dating his girlfriend. Or was it his mom? I don't really remember the order in which I dated them... but, anyways, I know I was definitely on a date at the movie theater. The movie? STAR WARS: The Phantom Menace!
I was talking on my cellphone during a Jar Jar scene when I heard someone whisper "awesome" behind me. When I turned around to bitch out this chump for interrupting my phone call I discovered, much to my surprise, it was my boy, Jason!!
"Jason, when did you get out?!", I said. Jason had been in the pokey on a stint of 8-10 years for a bogus B&E charge. How do I know it was bogus? Because it had actually been me that broke into that vault at the Bellagio with 10 other guys. None of which was Jason.
"Grant?! ...DAD?!?!" (Ohyeahhh!! That's right! I was on a date with his Dad that night!)
"Hey J", Mr. Jason's dad said, "can you believe this movie?"
"Wha...what do you mean??", Jason replied.
"He means can you believe how shitty this is!! This movie is absolute garba-" At this point my memory gets hazy. I remember hearing "I will fight you" as the shank slid between my ribs but after that it's all black.
A week later, I awoke in the hospital and that was the last I remembered having seen Jason... until a few months ago when we reunited on a podcast of LEOG. Ever since then we have returned to being the best of buds. I guess, to answer the question, Jason doesn't hate me at all. No reason to.

Grant,
since no one of the League seems to like eastern comics (manga) I was wondering if you,
as the newest league member, do. Please be the one who does like manga because I feel like
it's the one thing missing in the comic book themed Pod-cast (if not THE BEST podcast).

Unnamed, I hate to be a bummer but sadly I've never read any manga. But that isn't to say I won't try. What is the one ultimate manga I MUST read? You recommend it and I will give it a try asap!

It all depends what kind of manga you would like to start with...
If you want some kidlike stuf read naruto (very simple and feel good, doesn't get intresting early on)
if you want to start with some Michel Bay like action start with Bleach( also not very clever)
But my personal Manga are Berserk and Gantz(my favorite one, you might wanna start with that one) witch are pretty gory and explicit and are waay more intelligent than the first to options, but if you're not used to the japanese culture you might be a little freaked out.
I can imagine that manga is hard for you to get ( I know it is for me) you may actually try reading some of them online and ordering them once you are sure you want to continue reading them. I could give you some links if you want.

I was able to read up to Ch7 on Gantz before the pages stopped loading. I kinda like the plot. Reminds me of a cross between Cube and Exiles. But the writing isn't doing much for me. And 289 issues?!? It may be a fairly quick read but yowza! Thanks for the recommendation! I'll try Berserk next!
